But Gyan admitted Spurs would be an attractive proposition, adding: "Spurs are a fantastic club and any player would be flattered by their interest, so I am, but there is nothing I can do if Sunderland want to keep me." (SSN)

you may get your wish Clamour

probably an upgrade in terms of goals must not what i was hoping for in absolute quality

No. But if we get 3 strikers then Gyan, Leandro and Falcao?

The third party in the Leandro contract is Leandro himself! He owns 30% of the contract and Inter own the rest. I can't understand what's going wrong.

I'm going to put my nadgers on the line and say we won't sign anyone today.

(note: TSH retains the right to remove his nadgers from the line should it look like anyone is having a medical).

I reckon you could safely leave them exposed until august!

I'd bring him in to replace Defoe and Pav. We'd probably break even price wise leaving us more money to go after two further strikers. Gyan, Leandro plus a Falcao/Drogba/Rossi type signing wouldn't be bad would it?

It just feels we are being left behind by Liverpool and Man U. Chelsea will start soon too. But the good thing is, Arsenal have problems.

It's early days mate!

Would be a great back-up to Falcao or whoever plays with VdV. He looks a good player.

Maybe:

a) He wants to keep that 30%, we want full ownership if we have him

b) he wants 30% of the transfer fee, so we are lowering his wages to make up for that, but he wants both.

trouble is Leandro probably wont see much of (or the best of) in season one - Falcao will also need a reasonable amount of time to settle in (nothing to do with his qualities but the pl is different to portugal and the europa league
- leaving us very very reliant on Gyan to score the goals particularly in the first half of the season something i not overly confident about

add to that he will sod off to the ANC for the best part of two months

so for me that combination of three doesnt work

Ok, I may face the wrath of all of you here  but..

http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896...lder-abou-diaby-i-own-wear-a-tottenham-shirt?

Would anyone else prefer him to Parker if we could get him for the same price? Premier and Champions League experience, a good player IMO, can play out on the wings if needed, very athletic, younger, best mates with Younes and is used to being used in a 'squad system' so probably wouldn't get too pissed off if he didn't play every game.

I'm going to die aren't I?

Fair point on the African Nations. Would be a similar issue with Drogba.

But if you're worried about Leandro not hitting the ground running then having a proven Premiership goalscorer like Gyan would be no bad thing.

Ultimately he's an upgrade on Pav and Defoe so would improve us.

I like Diaby. He's a very good player and also one of the least objectionable of their current mob.

I think he'd be an excellent signing but can't see them selling to us plus the Parker deal is considerably more likely.
