Thanks for that. The multiple is interesting- does that suggest that there will a single 30 (plus) million bid? Maybe on a Lacazette or a Batshuayi. Can't see Batshuayi going for any more than 25-30 so I'm grasping at straws here and hoping its Lacazette

No. It was a general comment that we won't be spending big on lots of players. We will be bringing in players to strengthen the squad though. It's not to be dissected word for word.

Considering the amount of ITK and press talk, at this point I'm already assuming Batshiyui will be our new striker. Yes I now nothing is done until it's done, but seems to be the only play we have been linked to across the board that seems feasible and completely comprehensible.

I agree- it seems almost inevitable. The Sun (probably bullshit) are linking us with Embolo but I can't see both coming given the outlay for the pair. I think it'll be Batshuayi and probably quite soon.

Also i'm sure JJ posted something on here to the effect of "FFS Poch you weren't supposed to say anything" after the Poch let slip about our interest in Batshauyi.

Just an observation:

As much as we (The club) have to try and keep players happy.

They (the players) have to try and keep the club happy.

If we sign players which results in several players fighting it out for a few positions....then great....lets test the lads ability, determination and character to see who makes it at our club....

Some of us need to understand we have the potential to grow to be an elite club and players want to be apart of that.

In summary, if Poch believes we need to sign 2 forwards (for example 'bat' and lacazette) then great....lets see which players sink or swim when faced with competition! And if players moan about not playing and become disruptive....then it's down to Poch to manage this and move these players on like he has up to now

If we sign Michy, it will show our intent for next season though I reckon he will cost EUR 30m with add on for a 5 yr contract. I am pretty sure this is very close base on JJ comments sometime ago, I remember from March.

Btw, he follows Toby, Vert, Chadli and Dembele.... So there is 4 Belgiums to help him integrate into the club.

Without turning this into a game of guess the departures, I can't see too many people from the game today leaving in the summer considering we only just tied half of them down to new contracts?
