Would Tevez want to come back to England?

Pretty sure if there are any offers on the table outside this country he'd take them, and that's without considering why he'd leave Juve to come to Spurs.

I think we're putting 2 and 2 together and getting a wookie here.

Bring the wookie and his agent to Levy!

"Guarded confidence".

Is that an expression? Can you have restrained or cautious confidence?

Probably guarded optimism.

Ha! I've moved on from Schneiderlin. There is no way we're spending £25m on him and Saints don't need to sell. so it's a no goer IMO.
I disagree, Saints do need to sell because he won't play for them this season, they stabbed him in the back last season after telling him he could go and agreeing terms then went back on their word, he is off this window for certain.

To a Champions League club. Unfortunately we are a sideways move for a player at his level and ambition.

He's not going to sulk on the bench in the season before the european championships, that would be completely counter-productive for him.

I completely disagree that we are a sideways move.
Do you think a player with Champions League ambition is going to be satisfied with our history and ambition?

Finishing in UEFA spot 1,2 or 3 is hardly going get his agent purring. That would make it a sideways move. Anybody here really think we are going to break top 4 next season? United, City will strengthen significantly Chelsea are a distance ahead and will stregthen leaving Arsenal as the team to displace.

I have little confidence we will without 'significant' investment and history suggests that's unlikely.

We are definitely a bigger club than Southampton. We are NOT a sideways move. Are we a big enough forward step? Quite possibly not. Depends on what other offers he gets. But we are definitely a step forward from Saints. Sorry but the constant bashing of our club from some of our supporters really pisses me off.

I'm not bashing the club. But currently we are some distance from being Champions League. So are 16 other EPL clubs.

Acquiring potentially world class talent under the radar as we did with Bale and Liverpool with Suarez is our only realistic chance. Unfortunately we then blew the opportunity with our subsequent investment. Just like Liverpool.

Calling us a sideways step from southampton is a fucking insult. End of.

From a team finishing in the UEFA Cup to another with little chance of either breaking through to the next level is sideways enough.

Take your blinkers off and think how an agent and foreign player views the club. This same level puts us in with Liverpool at the moment. Obviously minus a deluded manager.

Who's the Ryan being referenced in the ITK yesterday?

Nelson. Just incase we can't hang onto Kaboul

EDIT. Obviously not until January when we need that little shot in the arm to push on in the race for top four
