Adebayor (for not a lot in transfer fee), Burak (for £4m) plus Saha I guess would be a cheaply assembled but strong strike force. If we could add one more player playing in a wide position who could get 10 goals a season then we would be good to go.

Can't keep Saha, he shouldn't be better than fourth choice striker, fifth if you include VDV as a striker. Much rather give Kane the opportunity for a couple of games if 3/4 strikers are out, or play someone like Bale upfront in a real emergency

Adebayor, Remy, Nilmar, Hoilett, Saha, Bale, VDV, Lennon? That'd potentially be bargain basement-tastic and a strong and adaptable squad of front players? Nilmar, Remy, Hoilett to cover wings too? :coffee:

I don't think Saha should be in our team next season, its clear what we have missed this season is goals!

We need a striker who score goals yet doesn't need 20/30 shots to do so, I would love huntelaar, a player like him is still useful even when they are old like Inzaghi

Adebayor has done brilliant for us this season but when it isn't working for him we have nothing to replace him with or we lose our best attacking threat in the form of VDV in order to put defoe on

Remy is going to cost £20m. Not exactly bargain basement. Burak will cost 4. Krafty is right about Saha, I wouldn't want him as 3rd choice either but that means we would need to sign 3 strikers unless we don't sell Defoe.

I've never seen Burak play, although the numbers are amazing. With his size, I imagine he's a target man, but can he distribute?

Say you go for Burak instead, who can't play on the right of a three presumably, who is the 16m saving going to go on? I think if Saha costs nowt he's ok as a third choice out-and-out striker along with some more adaptable forwards..he's better than Defoe at leading the line and has a rocket shot on him and could be used very sparingly..while we cash in on JD - Nilmar would offer some options off the sides too and hopefully would be pretty cost effective now Villareal are down..I'm not sure that is the answer, but we'll obviously have to be shrewd with signings..

Okay. You're missing something here. That thing is Felix Magath, who left before MM was signed and returned later. Magath is a massive twat and can fall out with anybody. I'm sure, give the chance, he would have tried to punch Helen Keller. While I don't know if he's good enough for us, he's definitely good enough for Wolfsburg. I imagine that Magath just wants rid.

I'm happy with Remy or someone of equal/better quality. I am sure we will make one big signing at least. I'd rather Burak for £4m than Saha for free, it isn't a big outlay.

Apparently a reliable Everton ITK has said QPR have bid £6m for Pienaar - but it doesn't matter.

All but an Everton player then?

Pav would score as many in Germany though anyway - I mean its not like Huntelaar has scored more goals this season than Pav's entire Spurs career and half season back in Russia is it??? :censored:

But I actually think Huntelaar has been the clinical finisher withint the box, something we have been desperately short of in th season just past because of our profligacy of our strikers.....
