Parker for 3.5 mil is nothing to be sniffed at, no brainer IMO. Low risk, high reward in terms of fee.

Is Cahill prepared to be a sub? Who's place in the starting 11 is he taking?

Sub? Honestly? I think this is another example of us as fans holding our own current players in a higher esteem than players we target from other clubs purely because we wear Lilywhote tinted glasses. And its probably not even on purpose, just a reflex. An bias toward our own club and players we cannot even see.

Should we sign Cahill, excluding Ledley King, he would be our number 1 CB within a month or two. Top drawer CB, excellent ball player, better than Gallas (who i think is overrated. Ok facing the play, useless once turned), better than Bassong, at least as good as Dawson and probably ahead of Kaboul. I do think Kaboul had absolutely everything to be a top top defender too. Would love Cahill and Kaboul longterm to be our main two.

Caulker can come back next season when Ledley has retired and Gallas has gone, leaving us a very attractive Cahill, Kaboul, Dawson and Caulker to fight it out.

If we can use a mixture of Bentley. Jenas, Hutton, Bassong to get him, all the better. We can spend out reddies elsewhere.

I think 'pairs' means transfers will happen in pairs...i.e. one in one out.

We pretty much have to do that so it would make sense.

I am not on FTL. no idea where this info came from.

i looked at the original ITK and something in it led me to believe that it was referring to incoming transfers only.

then it appered to change a lot and was then neither incoming or outgoing specific.

you made those changes (well it says it was edited by stoof)

so i asked what they were, if you are saying that there was nothing in the original that was posted re transfers in, thats fine.

no need to get snippy about it.

Pairs I guess means players are leaving in pairs or it will be one in, one out.

And a signing from left field? Could it be Kaka? Dunno, but I can see that causing issues. Isnt he the reason Rafa wanted out of Madrid, he took his place?

Having said that, but I swear I remember I used to watch a lot of Itilian footie and when at Milan he was spearhead of the attack. Target man? He has all the attributes to play there or any of the attacking berths in out team/system.

Anyway, ill get my head back from cloud cuckoo land now and start wondering what Center Half we might be after....
