I have it on good authority that Harry intends to use some of the funds from the Modric sale to lure Phil Neville to the Club. He wants to make him captain and sees him in central midfield alongside Sandro.

You bloody fool! Your information is so so wrong.

He actually wants to play him in place of Sandro alongside his new partner, Charlie Adam.

Ideally, next season's team will be chock-full of leaders (who got relegated).

Call me thick but i still dont get why we cant offer 100/120k to 1 or 2 players that are top draw, get shot of the likes of keane etc and use part of their money. if the other team players get upset then its tuff titty. they are better players at the end of the day.

Levy, it won't look good on the balance sheet.

And who better to lead a team of leaders than Gary Glitter?

IF this happens and he leaves us this window, the one, minuscule crumb of comfort (and believe me, it is only a crumb) that I can think of is that when we sold Berba, I'm sure we all felt the same as we do now. And yet 2 years later we were playing CL football.

Oh, that and the fact that Levy wil wring Chelsea dry.

Life goes on. Even if it is as a 'stepping stone club' for the up and coming talents of European football.

Sorry Lenny, but Levy will make a small dent in Roman's vast fortune. Nothing that would stop him coming back in years to come and taking another of our top players off us. We need to stop this from happening.

Whats sick is that this is happening...fucking raging, and Chelsea fans are flipping over the moon with this if you can bring yourself to read a few lines of this:
http://www.chelsea.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=523698

What winds me up is all the comments on other articles putting Modric in their hypothetical line-ups so confidently, while declaring they like that he's been tapped up and its a "great signing" - like its done already.

Figuratively speaking I meant.

If RA was prepared to spunk 50mil on Torres, then we should be asking for something north of that IMO.

May well have a TV/radio/newspaper free weekend.

The wall to wall coverage of 'modric to chelsea' feeding frenzy is going to be sickening.

I can't help but think of how Barcelona - a far bigger and more powerful club than Chelsea - came a-calling for cesc fabregas and arsenal were forced to sell him against their wishes.

He aint gone yet so I'm going pretend this ain't happened w

Eh huge reality check here, has anyone seen an interview of these words coming from Lukas mouth?!

This stinks to high heaven of media brinksmanship probably out of one of the Manchester camps as it is their style. MUFC cannot Afford Modric. At any price! they are not a club who spends berba type money on a regular basis and they sure as f#%k will not now. They have not got the solvency.

They cannot afford de gea, young, jones and MODRIC they just can't afford it.

Don't forget it!

Show me a direct live interview where Modric says he wants to leave and I will be worried,

We have to assuume that thfc are smart and have already sought assurances from the player that everything is ok.

This is all media nonsense.

Peanut and POTL have both said everything gonna be fine. So put down the knife, light a smoke and cool your jets.

We are going to be ok. I have seen the future. Modric will be starting against Everton on the wend of the 13tb and will still be a spurs player on sept 1st.

Lads, man up and have your balls reattached. Everything is going to be ok.

It's like a bunch of kids in here.

Take a step back and look at yourselves.

WE ARE YIDS!

We have seen periods of mediocrity, we know what mediocrity looks like.

Everything is going to be ok. It's going to be great.

The future is bright, the future is lilywhite.

We are Tottenham. Super Tottenham.

Believe.

So you're saying his agent gave an interview and said Luka said such-and-such?
