I'll say this now but I think a Mr. Falcao is far more likely to replace Tevez at City than Aguero

Falcao wont go to either City or Chelsea IMO because he can only play as a lone forward.

He won't dislodge Torres at Chelsea and I think City will move Dzeko into that position and bring in Aguero to play a bit behind/wide.

I think Falcao will stay at Porto now tbh.

We need to hurry up and get in a quality striker for the start of the season, we have an exceptionally tough start to the season, a potential 2 points from 8 games job if things don't go well so we can't afford to arse about and wait till August 31st to get a last minute bargain, hurry up and get a quality striker in Levy

You are probably right mate. I just think the Aguero transfer has Real Madrid written all over it.

I thought Real signed Neymar. They wont buy Aguero too.

Aguero to City. Rossi to Juve.

Leaves us with Adebayor and Vucinic.

And he's just extended his contract (not that contracts mean anything).

I suppose with his reason for leaving being his family, it would have looked a bit off if he'd only moved to another country in Europe.

The more surprising thing is where on earth did Corinthians get 39m from?

But Sao Paulo is still a long way from Buenos Aires, and a different language.

I thought Spain (language etc) would be his destination, somewhere his family could settle more easily etc.

A lot closer than Northern England and I would imagine his wife and kids settled in Brazil when he played their before ... similar culture to Argentina

I think this is the crucial point, yes the season is over 38 games but a good start is vital and we have some really difficult early fixtures.

I'm more worried about the so called easier games, a la last season.

This.

We need to learn how to kill a game, just going out there and get shit done, finish ugly - just like united. They get out there in added time and get a goal, nothing fancy about it but it's gotten them through a fair few games.

I agree - we always seem to be able to raise our game against the top sides. The supposed easier games are where we struggle and often don't seem to try hard enough.

I seen an interview somewhere where the corinthians president said something along the lines of 'brazilian football will be the richest football in the world withing 3 or 4 years. do the accounts and you'll see'.
Struck me a bit as a rather bizarre statement as he didnt say anymore than that??

some ITK [not that interesting but thought id share] - Ex Spur Simon Davies' bar bill at his recent wedding came to £48k. bit of a useless piece of info for you all!
