Then as long as we sign Willian we're in a win, win situation arent we, we're stronger this season with or without him, although obviously I, like everyone else hope he stays

We already know the situation with Bale, the question everyone should be asking is, if Bale does stay, will he give it his all for us and get on with it like Modric did in 2011?

I worry if there is a starting place for him if we bought Willian...:ROFLMAO:

Does JJ have to keep taking little shots at POTL? Seems arrogant to me. Appreciate the info, but no need for the POTL comment.

Agree and even if we did look at him in January the deal still had to be done in competition with Cardiff who had agreed a fee with Toulose.

Well that would be his own fault wouldn't it, if he had nailed his Tottenham Colours to the Mast at the start of the window, and signed a new contract, the we wouldn't have had to look for replacements.

We need both

No we don't. Even if we sign just Willian, we need to get rid of Townsend (on loan). If we sign both Eriksen and Willian, we need to get rid of someone proper on the first team and it shouldn't be Gylfi as he is only one besides Bale offering real goal threat there and without such goal threat, there is limited use to creativity of Eriksen and Willian.

Did anyone think JJ's "new kid on the block" comment was interesting? Do you think he means LLM? Could it mean he's leaving Spurs in whatever capacity he works for or has contact with them?

Or it could mean he is reinventing himself....

If he doesn't then he ruins his "good boy" image and puts a question mark over his character for any team interested in buying him. Despite the reports, I don't think he's being a prick at the moment anyway, so I can't see him ever behaving like that to be honest.

In fact I think he's toeing the club line. Keep quiet till transfer window closes. You can go should we get the deal we want, if not you stay and we'll look at it again next summer. You haven't mouthed off so if you stay you'll have no trouble reintegrating into the team.

I'm really liking this transfer window now. As alluded to by others, think the strategy is spot on. Invest heavily now so we are not ripped off post-Bale. Invest heavily now to have a real crack at top 4 in what is a wide open season. Invest heavily now to show you are backing an impressive manager.

Willian, a left back and back up striker are the missing pieces.

I now see A&C as a salty old sea dog passing words of wisdom in the corner of a bar whilst drawing on his pipe
Previously I just thought of him as an amusing sexual deviant

Well, if Soldado is sole goalscoring threat (if Bale goes / is out) it limits our use of their cretivity. I mean if you don't have someone making intelligent runs, you do next to nothing with your eye for a pass.
