To be fair, I don't think any rational football fan honestly feels that we use Liverpool to scout our targets.

The problem is there are only 7 rational Liverpool fans and they have a pact where only one can be rational on any given day.

I can't believe the mass hysteria about Willian. He's unbelievably overrated. If he's worth 30 ml, Modric must be 90. I watched closely all Shaktar group games last season and he looked like luxury player, his work rate is very poor. His team mates are very reluctant to pass to him, he was on the periphery of the game most of the time. Physically very weak, can't see him going for 50x50 balls. He's not suited for English game at all. It will be a deadly mistake if we pay 30 ml for him.

First bit sounds like VDV. He was quite useful IIRC.

Second bit sounds like Modric. Another player who was quite good.

Fair enough if you think he is overated. He probably isn't worth £30m but what is this obsession with physical strength or "beastliness" that everyone seems obsessed with at the moment? I know power is important in the PL but we're building a football team not an iron man competition.

What we need is someone to play between the lines, with good touch who can dribble and has the awareness to pick out a pass to open up defences and provide Soldado with the service that he will need in order to make his purchase worthwhile. Willian might not be the perfect answer but he's the type of player we need.

There is more to the PL than brute strength as Mata, Modric, Carzola, Hazard, Oscar, VDV etc have proved.

Many a Brazillian player has lost their hunger for the game but increased their hunger for food. There have been more Brazilian failures than successes in England, it's usually the defensive ones that do well.
Robinho would good example.

On this talk of replacing Bale's goals, I would rather have 6 players score 6 goals each. Than have 1 player trying to score 20 .

There should be an icon that you can push for "Agreeing x 100", and this is one of the times that I would push it!! (100 times!!)

We just need to make sure when get the midfield balance right. Until Capoue came on, Paulinho didn't have much of an opportunity to get forward as he was the one that was sitting back. Dembele and him really seemed to work well though so it'll be interesting to see how AVB juggles our midfield to both maximise strength and goalscoring.

No, I mean he's kind of has Ade syndrome.

Willian will be a failure in England Arshavin style, trust me.

Nope, not going to trust you - sorry lol

Totally different players. Willian's work rate is infinitely better to. Far more suited to this League.

@ryantegan Really is silly when you think about what actually happens when you are buying a player. They have no idea & believe the press.

Yea, like our left back Gilberto and Maicon. It's a player by player thing. If they have the right attitude they will succeed. I trust AVB's judgement. He wanted him last year and he wants him this year, he must rate him.

Well, we're going to have to go with AVB's judgement on this one, as he clearly wants Willian after trying to sign him abnout million times.

We need a "Fabregas" type. For me.

So is it Willian or Eriksen or ??
