We never prioritise getting players in before the season starts, don't expect that to change because of one or two injuries
BEN on barkley again:
The one poch wants
Pochettino's ability to pick a player has been of concern since he was at Southampton.Apparently Sissoko was the one Poch wanted last time. Let's hope this one works out better. £30m on Moussaka seriously concerned me as to MP's ability to pick a player.

Dani Osvaldo, Moussa Sissoko, Federico Fazio.Nothing personal YS, but I cannot have that whatsoever. It's not true.
Trippier, Son, Davies, Toby, Dier, Wanyama, Dele are all first team and coveted.
There's a clear player in Barkley, and the coach coaches it out of him. ITK says Poch wants Barkley. That is an ability to pick a player with potential.

Yep Dele Alli, Toby, Wanyama loads of duds
Dani Osvaldo, Moussa Sissoko, Federico Fazio.
Not meaning to go against you, but Alli was a Pleat suggested signing. In fact he demanded the club sign him.

Listen, Signor Pochettino has loads of strengths, he grew immensely over the last 12 months, and we all agree he deserves support.Nothing personal YS, but I cannot have that whatsoever. It's not true.

Every signing goes through Pochettino. Pointless saying some were his and some weren't. He could've vetoed Dele if he wanted.
So the point you are making = Poch doesn't get every transfer correct. There have been some poor poor buys.Dani Osvaldo, Moussa Sissoko, Federico Fazio.
Alex Ferguson, The greatest manager of all time got it wrong from time to time. Djemba Djemba and Kleberson to name just a couple.
As others have already pointed out no manager has a 100% hit rate on purchases. Not to mention that not all our purchases would have been Pochettino's first choice.
OK, give an example of a manager in the history of football who's had a 100% hit rate on buying players!!! Actually, don't bother coz there ain't one!!

I have to agree. But as does every manager in the history of football!
But I bet you one thing.... that ever single person on this forum would have gotten a lot more transfers wrong in comparison to Poch.
My point = regardless of Poch getting some wrong, he's got a lot right and we should trust his judgement above our own. Until his proven otherwise.
Dani Osvaldo, Moussa Sissoko, Federico Fazio.
Spurs must be smarter than 50/50. It's time for that now.Which manager has a perfect record ? I would guess all managers have a record of 50% right and 50% wrong at best.
