This feels like it backs up what I was trying to say. The fact that JJ doesnt want to comment anymore suggests things might have changed a bit.

He clearly knows why it wasn't looking likely at one stage but maybe that road block has now been moved....?

I think mate he has said for a while that due to some reason or another its a No yet due to the press specualtion and reports he is constantly being asked the same thing on twitter time and tima again so this is his way of saying stop asking as my answer hasnt changed....as far as I am concerned its a No, if that has changed I dont know why and knowing what i know i wopuld be very surprised...I reallly wouldnt read anything else into it other than him stopping the questions on this one

the great thing about JJ is that he is prepared to say he might not know anything or correct himself when things change

its a fast moving world. I've no idea what JJ's connection is with the club but unless he is Daniel Levy he would not know everything, or info might take a while to filter down

Surely he would only do it personally for a high value target, for squad players he would send Baldini surely

There is no unique system it's more a process and way of scouting players based on the information available through ProZone (analysis package used by most PL clubs). What Mitchell is very good at is interpreting info & stats and specifically seeking players who fit the managers system.

It's his knowledge, skills & expertise not a system/software. Like all analysis - what you see depends largely on what you look for.

Not for this thread but I can't remember if it was a gif or a picture someone made of Levy with a wheelbarrow of money when the rumours of him going around Europe offering 30m for every top striker were floating around. Bloody hilarious and I think about it every time one of these stories surfaces.
