We've moved Son from a MF to a ST on the official page.

Striker clearly not happening, jesus christ. Talk about insulting our intelligence.

@SwainySpurs: You couldn't make it up... @SpursOfficial have changed Sons profile on website from midfielder to striker!!
Told you already when Son signed. We are covered if Lamela stays. No need to check the club website, check with me. ;):pompous:

As it stands we've spent no money. Shocking given the amount of income we have from TV rights and given the fact that we got a great deal for the stadium. Levy is milking us.

No, we spent 45 million. It doesn't matter what the net spend is.

I'm really not worried if we don't sign berahino or another centre mid. We have mason, bentaled, dier, dembele, carroll, alli who can play in the middle and do a damn good job at it and then up front Son and Njie can and have played there. Njie for some if they don't know is an international striker and Son is also an international striker. Son though at leverkusen played more on the wing but played up top for south korea whilst njie played for lyon up top yes in a two but that doesn't mean he can't do it by himself and he also plays up top for Cameroon.

We have a very young squad nearly all over the pitch so some players are still learning but POch likes these type of players. Calm down peeps.

You bunch of loonies.

Watching SNN or trawling through here for positivity is futile.

Whatever happens will happen, so on that note I'm gonna go for a 30 mile bike ride, come back at 6pm and deal with the aftermath then.

Either way, I'll be excited to see Son, N'jie, Pritchard, Alli et al play for Spurs this season.

Laters.

There is absolutely nothing on Sky about us. Either it's a fortress or we've fucked up royally. Given the list of targets generated for CM and CF, I'd be utterly gobsmacked if nothing happens so I'll keep my poker face for another hour or so and then start sweating a bit.m

Still remaining hopeful on signings.
I cannot see how with all the players in the world, we cannot identify and secure a CM and CF, when most other clubs seem to able to. I'm sure we'll be making signings.

The irony is that berahino isn't really a solution to a lone striker / target man role either. He had mainly played as winger or support striker.

Even Kane himself prior to last season was usually a support striker or attacking midfielder, and still spends a lot of time dropping deep and spinning wide.

If a player is intelligent and disciplined he can play various roles and I think poch prefers versatile players who can switch positions during a game to specialists .

So I do think a lot of this foot stamping over no classic number nine being signed may be a little misguided.

Personally I'd like to see chadli converted to this role whether we sign bera or not as I think his lack of pace limits him as a winger.

Whatever happens though we have pace at last in our attack and to me that was the big missing piece in our jigsaw.

Well, lessons have certainly been learnt.
The main one being don't believe anyone that says "lessons have been learnt" (yes including me just now;) )
Oh for Soldado, Stambouli or Capoue about now...

On the positive side (reaching) Looking forward to seeing Winks, Carroll and Pritchard getting game time.
And how Son performs as a striker (welcome to new country, culture, club, system and position...) and Aquascutum's new Harry Kane bubble wrap range. (y)

If people could just for a while stop their whinging and saved it until the window actually closes, perhaps SC wouldn't be running so slowly. And the next person who takes it on themselves to post Twitter will be out of here for this and the next transfer window.

Gards currently in full meltdown mode btw. Said he doesn't reckon we'll finish in the top 10 at this rate haha. I'm keeping the faith with JJ that we'll have Berahino in come the next few hours.
