I'm hardly Pochettino's biggest fan, but he's now in a position where he has to try and make the best of a bad situation. Unfortunately even a decent job isn't going to save him from bearing the brunt of the frustration in the stands. We've already had a poor start, and thanks to our inept transfer business Kane (and Pochettino) will soon be under a lot of pressure. It's not Pochettino's fault, and it's not the team's fault, but they're the ones that will be targeted.

Having said that, I'm also looking forward to Son and Clinton playing.

Exactly this. The fans will also, by association, come under fire for not backing limp performances when we cannot bring on another striker if Kane is toiling. Teflon Dan will just sit there with the cameras on him looking like he's got a carrot up his arse and we'll see how long before Poch gets the chop.

No. We need Kane and Eriksen to repeat their last minute winners from last season...

Not if we get more goals from those attacking midfielder they wont. The fact is neither Townsend, Lamela, Mason, Dembele or Bentaleb scored enough goals last season. We need to get more goals distributed between the team now. I have no doubt N'jie and Son will get more goals than Adebayor and Soldado did. I think Dele Alli can get more goals than Paulinho.

It sucks that we're short of centre forwards but history shows that every window where we feel disappointed and have a good moan we still do well come the end. I think it's more important that we have a free flowing team that creates plenty of chances. Kane needs support from those around him, we need those attacking midfielders to come up with the goals now.

We had a sever upgrade planned for in a few weeks but when things started going slowly today we updated some of the server software to speed things up. Unfortunately we were so busy it's taken a while to kick in. We still have several thousands people on here now and it's flying compared to what it was earlier today.

Sorry mate but if we were truly 'very happy with our squad' we wouldn't have been throwing in 2 near club record bids for players in the last couple of hours in the window.

I hope N'Jie and Son can take up the slack and Kane has a stonking season, I really do. I hope this is all insignificant, but its not just Spurs fans saying this is a mess (one pure ST), its the entire football world. But surely Levy and Co know best, right?

We have looked pathetic so far this season and things do not look as though they are going to improve with the lack of a striker and defensive midfielder. I think we are in trouble not just because we have a miserable wee wanker for chairman but I really don't believe the manager is good enough. While despise Levy for not realising there are gaps in the squad I don't think Poch plays the right type of football. I don't even think we will get as far as mid table if we continue playing the same shit boring tactics of keeping the ball without doing anything with it and playing slow laborious shit football

I'm not angry we didn't get Berahino. Or Moutinho, or Luis Fabiano ..Damiao ..Rossi ..Schneiderlin ..Witsel.. or who ever else. I accept these are usually hard deals to do.

I'm mad that the alternative when they fail is always...nobody.

I'm mad that for instance Watford signed Obbi Oulare today for £6m. Maybe he's not the guy.

But I am certain that there were CMs and CFs who moved this summer - who we could afford - and would have strengthened the squad.

Exactly. It's not so much that we don't like paying big money, it's that we leave things this late and have no alternatives.

The only thing we should be doing this late in the window is putting the icing on the cake or signing luxury players if any opportunistic deals arise. Not leaving the two most crucial positions.
