And we have some of the most expensive ticket prices in the country

At some point we as fans need to decide if we are being shafted by guys out to make as much money for themselves and that are more excited about cracking the U.S. And Asian fan markets than building a genuinely competitive team. When teams on smaller budgets are outspending us and buying players that would get into our first team I start thinking it's the latter. And the new stadium doesn't explain why no net spend for 5 years now

Because it is as many of us have long suspected... We are being used as a Ca$h Cow ... I personally had a lot less stress in the window this year as I never believe the board would get us the full squad we needed.

Levy has three choices now, bring back Ade, sign Berbatov, or do eff all.

So near to a brilliant window, that's what's annoying.

Not actually that bad objectively, but today has left a sour taste.

He's got no-one to keep him on his toes.

Not saying he's going to be out of form all season but hardly started well and he can play how he wants knowing he won't have any threat to his place.

Competition for places is vital

Some (Many) players would react like this, but do you REALLY think that Harry Kane will perform in this manner?

I wish you could "favourite" quotes and show them to people at the end of the season.

Levy's role in the season has finished until January. Slaughter him as much as you need to (rightly or wrongly, with the limited amount of information you ACTUALLY have).

But don't let it leak on to the pitch. That's all I ever desire from my positivity is to make sure that even if one person decides not to boo then that's my job done. Support the team. Take it all with a pinch of salt. Yes it's a fucking intense hobby, Spurs, but it's supposed to be a bit of fun as well.

Looking forward to seeing our new forwards play. Clinton and Heung-Min. They're my boys.
I don't think anyone's advocating booing the players (at least I hope not) but how can you be so passive about it. We're a team in decline. By the time we move into the new stadium we'll be where Aston villa are now buying 15 players when a few years previously (ie now) we only required specific investment rather than wholesale reform.

Every year we're treated to the same charade and I am sick of it. Money has changed football and we need a modern chairman/ owner of we are ever to win anything

My opinion.

I feel the squad is slightly unbalanced upfront.

We lack leaders, it won't take long to find out what potential will be realised out of the youngsters.

I felt the fee for Berahino was becoming excessive and a little sad that we didn't have at least a couple of youngsters with potential as an option.

I also thought Jedinek could have been a useful signing, a true leader.

The vibes I am getting though is that if Poch doesn't get the player he wants he is reluctant to consider alternatives, hence the Fazio, Stamboulli charade last season.

So Berahino is the only striker in the world who could do the job of being a back up to Kane?

Ridiculous argument from a Levy apologist.

It wasn't an argument, it was a statement. I have no interest in arguing with you or others. You have your opinions and mine are opposite and I accept that never the twain shall meet.

What I will say is that some posters don't only make assumptions but quantum leaps in justifying their criticism of Levy. We don't know what Poch has said to him, it may have been that it was Berahino or no one as far as he was concerned.

As I've said a few times on various threads now, I'm more concerned that we didn't sign a central midfielder. We have enough talent in the front four positions if you go through it, and work needs to be done to convert Chadli into playing the central role but he does have a lot of the attributes. We then have about 8 options in behind the striker to support them, plus Adebayor for 3rd choice/Europa League 'take up a spot and give others a rest duty' to tide us over to Xmas. Central midfield was more crucial, we need more brainpower and tactical awareness in there.

Just saying; do you think we woul have signed N'Jie and/ or Son of not for the scouting system. They are not unknowns by any stretch but they are not deals we generally saw comings. Especially son

Yep, Son, one of the most productive & consistent performers in the Bundesliga over the last 3 or 4 years is an unknown by any stretch of the imagination

It's been a disappointing day, an ok window in some ways. Am worried about the striker issue, to be honest my expectations have been lowered which is always a bit sad

Amazingly we are still stronger than we were last season, all the players sold basically did fuck all anyway.

Shit window yet still a better squad, Levy.
