Good news - the signings we have made are good ones meaning that we shouldn't need to go on a huge deadwood-shiftathon like most summers. This means that we can concentrate on adding to the team in future Windows.

Cons - very short upfront and in midfield. Relying on kids to get us through a notoriously difficult period and we will struggle to find quality to add in January.

Our first team is stronger than it was last year.

We have more attacking options with an injection of pace.

A major deficiency, being our defense, has also been seen to.

I am still chairman of BSoDL and as things stand our membership has not fallen because we were unable to buy a striker for a price we valued him at.

So Berahino is the only striker in the world who could do the job of being a back up to Kane?

Why do we do it to ourselves is the only real question? Nothing ever changes at this club. Always leaving the manager with an unbalanced squad, and trying to kid us everything is hunky dory.

I've a lot of respect for Levy for what is doing transforming the infrastructure of the club - Hotspur Way, the youth development and the Stadium, but he always maintained it would not effect the team, and it clearly has, as it's another window with a zero net spend, and another window where the manager will carry the can beacause he doesn't have the options he needs.

I think people are failing to remember that Berahino was the backup to Werner which were both the back ups to Martial who just went for insane money.
