We could probably do with both if we can shift Palacios and Jenas.

Both would fit with our high tempo approach and both could work well with either Hudd, Sandro or Modric in the middle.

Barton has clearly been a horrible excuse for a prfessional footballer but everybody should have a chance to move on as they grow up.

I dont think we need both, Sandro will be starting when he is fit and not needing a rest, head and shoulders above both, that leaves 1 space for one of them to come in, so other will never/hardly play!

If we have Sandro and Diara as our first and back up Defensive midfield, we have then Hudd who can come in and fill a gap for a game or two if needed. ALso cant see barton coming to us to sit on the bench

First option basically means that IF we were to sell Bale, it's to RM? We can just deny a sell if that's what we want?

I would take that! would be the signig we have been waiting for! Benzema anyway ance:

so is that first option if we sell him up to 2013, or in 2013 they have first pick if we sell him then? :shrug: if we can leep him then its great buisness, and if we get those 2 players we may well jump back up to fight top 4! and keep luka and bale

I think that I'd take that, if the Benzema deal had an option to buy at the end of the loan.

If Bale does leave then I'd rather that he went to RM than any club in the Premier League.

Comolli told the fan then that 'we've got him' but it was couple of wks b4 it was officially announced.

Barton may have put his troubles behind him (see Woodgate etc) and i think if the money is tight then a free for him would be better business than £15 for Diarra - although i think Lass is a better player.

I really hope the itk that said we are still looking at a young striker being either Leandro or Lukaku is correct and we go back in for Lukaku. Based on the comments coming from him that he wants to be first team and not loaned out - i think we could have a chance. We could agree with him that he will be in the 1st team squad and if we aren't competitive after 2 seasons we will entertain offers for him etc. That would be a much better proposition than Chelsea can offer given they have Drog, the Elk, Torres and a sharp looking Sturridge (he may not even make the bench where as at Spurs he'd probably be first sub or even playing at this rate!)

I liked the blog on the twitter thread about Llorente and really hope that there can be some movement there - £25m would be a lot for this club but he genuinely could be the missing link (imagine him and Lukaku as backup/partner!!)

As stated on here the other day - which we don't want pages and pages on - a first option would mean just that. A 'first refusal'. Not an option exercisable by Real Madrid if they want to buy him.

Let's have no more on the ins and outs of that.

It means if we sell him before 2013, they have first option. Still our choice to sell him.

Perfect for us, we would rather Bale go to RM than an English club if we do choose to sell.

Kaboul was another one (first time around) that was 'done' but took a while to announce. All sorts of things can hold it up and you don't want to announce anything until you are 100%...unless of course you are West Ham and you want to announce the signing of Benni McCarthey whilst he's on a flight to a different club. Legend.

Diarra and Benzema are two players that would show Luka 'our ambition' and all that jazz... still though 12 days until Everton. Tick tock, a 2 day window for a score (which I can barely afford right now) to be donated to SC.

Been told that there is a deal being worked on for Lass...but been told that each window for 2 yeas I think!

Anyway...its Madrid who are pushing for a Bale "clause" we haven't offered. So far we are refusing.

Lass deal is not dependent on Bale.

Let's have less of the "fake formations" and more of the ITK.

And let's also remember that Sandro is injured; and that we don't play this game with solely 11 players. More than ever football is about a squad and at times last year we struggled for CMs.
