Been told that there is a deal being worked on for Lass...but been told that each window for 2 yeas I think!

Anyway...its Madrid who are pushing for a Bale "clause" we haven't offered. So far we are refusing.

Lass deal is not dependent on Bale

We completely missed the boat last summer then even more so in January.

This was the time to improve on what we had and for some unknown bizarre reason we didnt and now we are facing the consequences.

We were a CL club and in Jan we had just come off the back of beating the European champions. The whole of Europe was talking about us and we played some great football in front of an amazing spectacle of a home ground which is WHL on a European night. THIS WAS THE TIME that we could of attracted a truly world class striker to take us to the next level. AAAAAARRRGGGHHHH Its so bloody annoying....

We completely ballsed it up in the only way THFC can.

Now as it stands we have no CL football and are seen as a selling club who cant really compete with the big boys. Redknapp and co are making us look two bob with their actions aswell. Is anyone really surprised we cannot attract the top players?

We blew our big chance.

All true , but apart from a couple of the 'staff can do no wrong' types here
this is generally accepted . The time for this sort of comment was in Jan or last summer . Colossal fuck up , yes....but we gotta work from the hand we're dealt now .

Interesting. Must certainly be negotiating for someone else with them other than Lass then

I would be very, very surprised if we get Benzema on loan to be honest.

You're so lazy

MadridSpur is right about Diarra. He's the new Willhelmsen/Downing. Linked every window seemingly with no end result. Hopefully the Harry effect will get him here this time.

Me to. Do Real have any other younger strikers who they may be more likely to loan out? I just don't see why they'd get rid of Benzema on loan when they don't have that many out and out strikers as it is.

I would in a way but in another way I wouldn't :) How do we know madrid haven't another striker lined up to buy therefore could afford to send him out on loan.

Madrid's current strikers: Benzema, Higuian, Callejon, Ronaldo (kind of).

Can't see them getting rid of any of them bar Callejon, and Callejon isn't that great to begin with. So yes, unless they get a new striker they won't be loaning out any of them any time soon.

Maybe they're finally going in for Adebayor? Seems we can't afford his wages, and they'd be the most significant other interested party, I would have thought.

exactly. Mourhino really really seems to like Adebyor as a man and a player. I would not be suprised at all to see them both get thier way and a deal be done for him.

Then considering the system they play Benzema, higuain and Adebyor is one too many CF's for a 25 man squad who adpot his system.

Exactly that would make perfect sense tbh, City don't want him back, he's had I think a good loan season at Madrid so why wouldn't they make it permanent.

you ahve to look at it as a front 3 and include Di maria, kaka and possibly ozil too. IF adebyor is coming in and IF Neymar is thier major signing then they won't need/want/afford to have 4 players fighting for the one central CF roll in JM formation.

Adebyor being brough in would be 1, Callejon is a valuable home grown option and Huigain was the go to option when he first took over. I think Benzema is still the most likely to move on. Maybe not to us but i can see him being at another club before 31st August
