I have to admit that the sheer persistence of the Vlad rumor is beginning to worry me.

But perhaps this has little to do with Fazio or MM, and they see Dier as the 4th?

If Vlad goes and based on injuries/form, I would play Dier alongside Verts but with Walker seemingly weeks away from fitness and Naughton suspended, it will be interesting to see how consistent Dier is at right back. The downside of this is we will be left with out of sorts Kaboul and no longer good enough/suitable Dawson as our centre back options. If we've any aspirations of getting into the champs league this season, MM and one other will be essential.

The only 2 players I actually think are quality from our squad are loris and eriksen, I think many way overrate our players.

Absolutely right, though I think Eriksen has also been vastly overrated. It's quite simple - how many of our squad would get in last season's top 4 squads?

Having us hovering around mid table and accepting mediocrity would be a massive failure for two of the most successful businessmen in the country. That's why we are building a bigger stadium to let us push forward on a sure financial footing. Until then you will have to suck it up and accept we're not on the same level as Man U, Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea in any way shape or form.

Chucking money at players with zero guarantee of making top four whilst increasing our debt is just idiots logic but it's easy to stamp and moan about 'lack of ambition' when you don't have responsibility for the future of the club.

We made the top four and CL football. Just how much money was invested to help keep us their the following season? That is unless you count Sahar and Neilsen as an investment?

Idiots logic is hiring and firing coaches after half a season, one who blew one hundred odd million in a month. Don't talk such condescending crap about fiscal management when the opposite is so bloody evident. Levy has possibly paid off managers contracts that would add up to more than what MS would cost. I don't doubt that Levy is an astute Chairman but when it comes to running the playing side he has proved to be way below a Captain Of Industry.

It's been out in the open for ages. Itk has hinted it's a problem between 3rd party and Villarreal. Are you saying we should throw in another 5-10 million to pay for their problems? If so, what happens then? Let's be frank even if he signed MM, MS and Depay we'd still be behind at least 3 teams in squad quality and would struggle to get top 4. Would that then be deemed as a failure? We'd have more debt and less equity for the stadium and still unlikely to be seen as a more attractive partner for commerical rights without CL.

We need to continue our plan of steady and organic growth. We struck gold with the model in recent years and have made some huge revenues to improve the clubs infrastructure. We haven't been able to push on because our rivals have had more funds to strengthen aswell.

All we should be looking to do with the playing staff is improve the first 11, but to achieve this we need to lose 5-6 squad players. The selling of our players is a problem so we can't sign anyone at the minute - unfortunately it is sit and wait until that happens and then we can sign some real quality investments. All we can hope is that it happens this window.

Good points, but I was more referring to the fact that he's now firmly on the radar so another good season will likely see someone else snap him up by paying that premium either in jan or next summer. No ones a failure in my book after a year, certainly none of last years acquisitions who all deserved time and more than avb and sherwood. but I'm willing to sacrifice chiri to generate funds and a squad place.

Don't think we'd be talking five to ten mill extra to clinch this but what do i know, wishful thinking maybe.

Also don't mind struggling to get top four, finishing five points off wouldn't be unreasonable but instead with a jammy league cup in the cabinet. Trophy for me before fourth place, slightly disappointed by our head coaches suggestion the Europa league was just a trophy... But now it's worth winning.

I don´t think that is the Case at all more like the Atlantayid ITK, if the players who we want to sell doesn´t want to leave we have to sell players that we don´t want to . In other words you can blame Dawson for not wanting to leave
