Magath hated Jones and Jones is just Jenas with a German passport....that's a no go. Plus they have Dejegah as a running CM.

Ochs is already purchased. Hutton is not a consideration

Wilson, Kranky and Pavs would best suit their system. But they already have players in two of those positions.

For DM, they have Josue, who Magath installed as captain when they won the title. Doubt he would spend 12 million to replace him with Wilson (Levy won't lose money on him).

Pavs...maybe, but they already have Helmes and Mandzudik...good paring. Better than any we have. It would depend on whether he's ready to let Grafite go.

So that leave Krajcar. I think they might be in for him. But they won't spend too much when they can just pop over to Croatia and get the next Kranjcar for cheap.

By the way, I realize I'm pissing on the parade with this Wolfsburg talk. Just trying to be reasoned from my knowledge of the Bundesliga. When someone sells a player for 35 million here, they can expect to raked over the coals. That doesn't happen in Germany.

Hey guys, never had ITK and prob wont ever again but apparently now that Barnet are staying in the football league, they are pushing for a link with us for the the new season in order to get a few of our youngsters on loan. According to my source they are particularly interested in Cameron Lancaster & Kudos Oyenuga.

I can PM a mod my source if necessary?

Anyone know what the deal is with Anelka? Is he potentially on a free this summer or does he have a year left? I'm not sure how I'd feel about a move for him really. If it was alongside at least one, preferably two, younger strikers then it could be a shrewd move. He'd have to drop his wages in line with our higher earners though.

1 year left on his contract, I've been told £80k a week though not £110k

I'm liking the Archie ITK. No more than £5m for SP sounds much more sensible.

But can we just get a move on and sign a striker ffs!!!

Then I'll be able to settle down and relax for the rest of the TW. Thanks.

and

I looked at his other posts and his main implication was that we were going for Gameiro.

I don't rate Anelka (a more talented Darren Bent?!), especially at his age now.

I'd say more all-rounded than talented personally

A good player. Not sure if he'd fit in, and he is aging

Would like him, but would rather have Drogba by a mile!

I know he'd be great for us but I'd cry if we bought drogba. Possibly my most hated player in the league. His whining, playacting and general pussyness really isn't "the spurs way".

Both would be excellent for me. Modric feeding Anelka (not literally) and Drogba on the end of Bale's crosses could be a match made in heaven. We'd probably have to look for replacements for one or both come next summer, but for the meantime, we need to hit the ground running as soon as next season starts in the striker department and those two are a better bet than most.

In my opinion, the last thing we need is a new megabuck striker who needs half a season to settle in while the fans are asking miracles of him, it rarely goes that way. I say get 2 like that in, along with a Lukaku type and VDV and in those 4 we'd have great options.

Teams just aren't intimidated by our frontline at the moment, but I guarantee that would change if instead of Crouch and Defoe they saw Drogba and Anelka on the team sheet before kick off. Straight away it adds a presence that wasn't there before and adds to the 'game is already lost' factor to the other team.

I'm sorry. I really don't care if we get Parker. But that's not fair because its not greedy, it's just what all people do. If you get two job offers, wage is one of the main ways you evaluate them. People are people in that they are almost always going to take a job with more money. Just because he makes more than we would, doesn't mean he's not going to get as much as he can. That's just human tendency and we shouldn't expect footballers to act any different than we do.

I don't. Similarly if he comes to Spurs it'll be for money alone. Not because he supported Spurs or to further his football experiences. Hence as a supposed character & leader I view him with skepticism. I'd rather we keep Palacios.
