I’m so nonplussed about Zaha. At least Poch genuinely wants him, but I’m unenthused.

Zaha would scare the shit out of other teams. He'd bring a lot of space to our other attacking players because of this. I'm all for signing him at around £55m if it means it gives Poch serious competition across the park in AM and another forward option to trim down on the need to have Janssen, Nkoudou, Edwards & Llorente in our ranks

How the hell are we running into problems with Grealish? He allegedly only wants us, AV are skint and everything was supposedly agreed ages ago. Don't tell me the goalposts have moved yet again because the only logical conclusion is that it's us who keep moving them in seemingly every transfer window.

Looking at previous itk you'd have to think pulisic is the a n other player in the mix and prob first choice. Zaha as fall back with grealish and the cm still to come.

I think Zaha is currently the better fit and lets hope martial stays at united for 1 more season and we go again next season. I really hope the 3rd signing is a top cm

I’m happy to have him in the squad and I do think he’s a very good player. But I think we needed to be more ambitious this window if he’s now our top target.

Cheers Herc. Not sure how people are reading this as a negative. Just sounds like we have a complex series or decisions to make and a very tight deadline to make them on. Both decisions have consequences and there is no guarantee any decision we make will be 100% right. Trust Levy and co to make whatever decision they think is right and hope everything progresses positively. If not, then we'll have to wait and see what happens.

I think it means that the other one will be a forward player also. Not a CM.

Surely Zaha couldn’t be impacting on our purchase of a CM but we’re not going to sign two forward players.

It seems like Martial top target, hard to do because of Man U, Zaha would be easier but 2nd choice. If Chelsea sell Hazard or Willian etc Zaha will be their top target but if not he'd choose us. Grealish it sounds like we have set a deadline or vice versa regarding £££ and the other, well it could be any old bastard at this stage I guess. It seems things are poised. This is where our Chairman really does earn his crust if all is how I'm interpreting it

Those having panic attacks re Grealish. And to some of you it was a meh signing. I fully expect him to be cemented (at friggin last) before window closes. Like it or not, new investors changed a lot of things. And talk FFP as much as you want. I understand that that is not as big an issue as outsiders are making it out to be. Take note#THFC

If that is the case then I hope we do what it takes to get Pulisic, although it seems he’s off the menu. I’m really not that concerned If we missed out on Zaha as I don’t really see how a WF is a priority. Assuming the 3 signings Herc profisises are Grealish, Zaha (or anothe) and a CM then I hope the CM is top quality. Cook, the most recent name linked, looks a prospect but I would hope we are looking at level above if we are only getting one. Really, if we can only buy 1 player this Window for me it has to be a top qulity CM, it’s the only position in our starting 11 that is not filled by a qulity talent.

Pulisic isn’t happening! Interest was genuine, but conflicting information on his contract, and what club wants.

It sounds like we have to play the Zaha situation very carefully. I'd imagine if him and his team got wind of our interest in another player when he is a possibility, it may be enough to sway him in Chelsea's favour.

Key sentence for me from Herc is that the ball is in our court. I take that to mean we know what the team will sell at and Levy just has to decide whether to pay it. If he doesn't soon, then those teams could move on. No idea if this is correct but that's how I took it.

Sounds like Zaha, Grealish, and one more mystery CM is how the window is shaping up, although Zaha is no certainty. No ideas who other forward option could be beside Pulisic but still don't understand why Dortmund would sell. (edit - forget Pulisic).
