Pretty sure that hertyid bit is just him repeating what he said the other day. Yedlin is technically sub par. That's known. It's called learning, developing and improving. That's why this was a good move for him and us. He has potential. So we brought low in the hopes that we can continue to develop him and hopefully make a healthy profit on him. He's 21 years old, and has only been playing professionally for 2 years, in which span he's shown that he has the ability to pick things up quickly and improve. He was a much better player at the end of his 2nd year in MLS(the last one), then he was when he first came into the league. And he is a much better player today then he was when he first came over in January. That much is abundantly clear if you've watched him.
Yedlin had offers to go elsewhere but Klinsmann pushed him to come here. Why? Because he knows that we can develop Yedlin into a very good player.
