Is there anything to confirm that Ryan's ITK was anything to do with Vadillo? If it is, the 17m buy out clause is ludicrous.

Not if he will be worth 30-40 million in the future.

That is probably why Lamela will be a safe bet, even at 30 million. He could well develop into a 40 million player or more in the future... or RM come knocking with another 100 million offer.

Oh and it is in the RO under Vadillo.

More than we paid for Modric on a kid who has played a handful of times for Betis? He's already had a cruciate ligament injury too. It's been a crazy transfer window but this would be unhinged!

£85m from Bale to pay for current transfer.

JL £50m loan paid back in 10 years to pay for Halilovic, Vadillo, and other promising youngsters.
I dont want to knock your info but I cant see it tbh, I hope you are right. That said find your info of £50million loan the most plausible as thats what Chelsea is doing for its future sign highly rated youth players and loan them out until they are ready as well increasing their value/capital as they can always be sold.

The only reason £50million loan sounds crazy is that we have spent £59mill already, then we have got back £24million and can expect that to rise imo to £40million. So we will have spent £20million minus the bale money and additions from that money.

Adding the Bale money would mean we have £65million to spend and the loan and that is £105million to spend till september 2nd.

Now that sounds crazy but saying that Willian, Lamela and Vlad all add up to £65million. Then we are also trying to sign Coentrao with the money they owe as well on top of the Bale deal. It makes it clear that was us breaking even. Though we would likely need a striker.

However £50million of Halilovic, Vadillo and etc doesnt sound crazy its just of case of being possible.

This post was to highlight it was crazy that we would spend £100million in 2 weeks but then looking at it I am reminded that we were probably set to spend £65million by tomorrow anyway! So I guess this spending this extra £50million isnt that crazy.

The Vadillo ITK is good if, and only if, it's in addition to the likes of Lamela and Eriksen.

I'm all for us bringing in young talent, but it has to be in addition to sorting out the here and now.

Lamela, Eriksen and Chiriches would be a good start.

Have we actually been linked to Erikson though? Other than passing comment and hypothetical targets

EDIT: How can you disagree with a question?

I think we've been spun a line regarding this 50mil loan anyway. Basically we're just spending the Bale money and whatever else we recoup.

Just my onion!

add to your sums the increased tv revenue millions & more players sales & even an extra £50mil could seem the wrong figure

I do tend to agree that this loan thing sounds like a load of turd as cover for a Bale sale eventuality..

But even without that if we can assume the bale money is going for transfers, added to outgoings and increased TV windfall we must still be looking at a warchest approaching 150m.

If I had enough fingers i would work out how much we have spent of that, but its sunday morning and i just cant.

Well I don't know. I trust a bunch of professional businessmen, a manager, technical director, scouts and all the other people that live this stuff every day of their lives over a bunch of people who have to get up for work in the morning tapping away at their keyboards. If that's what they decide, I won't question it.

I'll put my personal opinion in and say that there's absolutely no chance that we are considering paying £17 million for Vadillo, no chance what so ever.

If we pay anywhere near that figure for Vadillo this window I'll eat a Hedgehog!

Spun a line?

By who?

I don't ever recall anybody at the club mentioning anything about £50 million!?

There will most definitely be some sort of tacit agreement between Roma and Baldini - firstly they released him knowing he would most likely come to us and knowing he would have the same scouting list

If you add the context of us supposedly wanting Lamela then I think you can safely say they'll be asking us to move aside for certain players......

Have we already swerved Jedvaj for that reason??

Agree about the loan. I kind of wonder if it was an insurance policy against Bale being sold. Lewis standing the cash to buy targets prior to Bale sale, meaning if Real pull out, we are not left overspent and desperate to sell, Lewis's money is of no real fixed term, so we can carry on regardless and recoup when it suits us.

Yeah im not saying it's not much money but following spurs over the years has made me a real pessimist! Im waiting to see the actual figure of the Bale sale. The problem we have is he only wants to go there! I just hope we dont get our pants pulled down again like Modric. It doesn't even look like FC will be part of the deal which is a real shame.

And the question being will we actually spend enough to make us title challengers!
