Yes, there's a small irregularly shaped patch, roughly three inches from my bumhole that thinks that. The rest of me thinks that we won't pay that much but its just a link and we haven't coughed up anything yet. We might get him for a fair bit less if they take his bad injury into consideration and Levy does some snakey flim-flam jiggery pokery.

I'll put my personal opinion in and say that there's absolutely no chance that we are considering paying £17 million for Vadillo, no chance what so ever.

If we pay anywhere near that figure for Vadillo this window I'll eat a Hedgehog!

Vadillo looks very agile and skillful, but very raw. He won't jump ahead of Chadli, Townsend or Lennon for our first team YET imho, which is what I'm most worried about now. I'm encouraged that we're looking at him though.

He wouldn't be brought in to jump ahead of any at 18?

Why can't people get their hands around the fact that a big transfer fee doesn't have to mean a player will challenge immediately for first team football?

We are clearly addressing BOTH our short and long term problems.

I'm assuming Vadillo is the alternative to Halilovic? Never heard of him before but hadn't heard of Halilovic before we were linked either. It's always nice to sign such young potential talent though. It would be interesting to see if we keep him for our U21s or loan him back to Betis.

This kid is exactly the kind of signing that not so long ago people were moaning that we didn't make. Now that we're 'linked' with making one, people are still moaning. It's almost enough to make me rip off my nightie, get dressed and take the dog for a walk. And if my nightie wasn't made of the finest lace, spun from the pubes of the rare lesser spotted yak, I would do exactly that.

Not at £17m though
