Cheers for the info Trix. I think we’ll go for a similar skill set, and someone on the right side of 25 as most of our forward players, bar Deki & Bergwijn (who’ll likely leave) are on the wrong side. Succession planning in this area of the team is needed, imo.

Mentioned this theory before, but now im certain of it. From itk and journalists we now know that some of our top targets were Perisic, Bastoni, Spence, Milinkovic-Savic and Scamacca. These are all giants of men and I think its more than a coincidence.

I'm now fully of the opinion that Conte has seen something in the league and is now 100% targeting for us to be massive threats at set pieces, and this opinion is only strengthened by the fact that we were so interested in a dead ball specialist like Ward-Prowse.

It makes sense. Set piece goals are extremely important and can be decisive in games and leagues/cups. They can get you out of jail when you've not played well.

Chelsea had it in abundance over the years.

I'd love to see us become a real physical and strong side as long as it isn't at the expense of technical ability.

And this is an area that - Kane penalties aside ! - we have been fairly weak at for years. Eriksen was great at free kicks as we know, but utter rubbish at corners.

Of course you need people with great technique/ delivery AND big/physical lads to finish those chances too.

I certainly think we will be looking at players who excel in 1 - or both - of these skillsets for Conte.
