As long as he leant the lesson....
"Wont leave it late again. Will adress the needs next window. We've learned our lesson." - after 4 straight windows.

Feel sorry for the itks who keep reporting the same thing. They get the heat for reporting what they are told. Instead of the heat aimed at the club, its aimed at the itks.

well i would have thought so judging by the latest itk, no mention of him

Maybe but I'm wondering if his signing might be delayed until later tomorrow, for both us and Fulham to see how other things pan outbut first. Then the final decision about the loan aspect can be made.

skysports and bbc reporting it, what are the chances that they are wrong in this type of situation?

So no ITK on that he will be loaned (if we do sign him)
So please don't come in here demanding ITK.

If they have something they will share it.

It could be a case that we dont want to loan, and they will only deal if its a loan.
So thats where the reports are from.

Not sure why people are getting upset about something that hasn't/might not happen

i want itk on why dembele is being loaned back

My guess would be that we had two options:

1) sign him now and agree to loan him back...
2) refuse the loan clause, wait until summer and risk losing out to someone else when he's a free agent

Either way, we dont have him for the next few months, but at least by agreeing rhe deal now, we've guaranteed that he'll be ours eventually. Fulham hold all the cards on this one it seems.

Understand the stance from the club but just frustrating as we have a great opportunity to do something this year and feels like we are missing a trick.

Fingers crossed we can keep Kane fit all season and also he does not burn out.

How can you quote something that hasn't been said?

I'm as worried about the longer term impact on Kane as I am this season's. He will have played around 50games this season (club & country) after playing nigh on every game from Nov onwards last season & going to the 21s tournament last summer. Add the Euros this summer and the poor kid will be knackered at the start of next season.

Not only is it shocking of a so called CL ambitious club but also unfair on Kane. Blame saving for stadium blah blah blah, it's been no different for years and won't be for years to come regardless of the stadium. Really poor.

i wasn't 'demanding' as such, just curious if the latest itk shared that information before or after the dembele news surfaced in the press, or as you said if they knew something about it they would share it.

also just to clarify my comment about the chances of bbc and sky being wrong is genuine not sarcastic (@wpd659), does any1 know of any previous situations similar to this where they have been wrong?

Again, no itk that we will loan back.

Thats them wanting a loan, not us.
Pretty sure fulham only selling if its a loan back would mean that if there is indeed a transfer involving the player it would include him being loaned back to Fulham.

It worries me too that we'll play him until we break him.

Poch doesn't do stop-gaps. And stop-gaps were exactly what we got in January 2012 and that was very unpopular, wasn't it?

Was that Nelson & Saha? They weren't stop gaps. They both went straight into the team, they were necessities due to injuries. Hopefully that won't be the case this time but we need a back up just in case. It's bad enough Jan is out now, if anything happens to Wimmer or Toby we could be fucked, but at least we had Wimmer initially, whereas we have no one for Kane. Son isn't a direct replacement and I wouldn't trust Chadli there. We have direct replacements for every other position in the squad except this one.

I understand Poch, but in my opinion we need a back up striker, even if he doesn't play a second of football if Kane stays fit. It could be the difference between 4th and 5th, or even worse, 4th and 1st.

That is their stance at the moment, it could change, just like we could agree to it.
But at this point we still haven't had any of the ITK's saying we are willing to loan him back.

It's clear he we will start in every game (league and cup) for the remainder of the season. I'm not sure any top flight player will have ended up starting more games.

Poch may say he is happy with his striking options, but he can't trust Son or Chadli too much to lead the line otherwise Kane surely wouldn't have started against the mighty Colchester.
