I know but I'm forever the optimist.

I hope he goes to City instead of Chelsea. They seem a better fit.

Would be nice to make a cheeky bid for him. Just to raise the stakes for both Chelsea and Man City.

Realistically I'd be happy with Berahino. Even though we've had an exodus of Midfield players gone I don't think it's crucial to get on.

If someone of Schneiderlin stature is available then great, if not then we're better of sticking with what we have.

Not seen enough of Kramer to have an opinion.

Wermer would be an unbelievable acquisition, the lad has so much promise
.

A better fit? Than England's current best CB pairing of similar defending styles? And a "cheeky" bid of > £25M for a young player? Not important to replace a position we've completely removed from the squad now? You haven't seen Kramer (10 caps) but you know WerNer (0 caps) has so much promise?

...

(Thanks for the excellent ITK Trix)

Thanks Trix for the great info.
It really does seem that we are working to a good plan and that MP is being supported.

Thanks for the excellent ITK Trix.

Yeah, I play Soccer manager and before I buy players I go on You tube to check them out. Werner is one that I heard was full of promise so I watched him. I saw what I liked and rate him highly.

I don't just look and his goals but his movement, touch, physical attributes too.

I've heard of Kramer but not really seen him play, live or on You Tube but will have a butchers to see what the fuss is about.

We can all dream, can't we? I like Stones as a player and think currently he's the best young centre half this country has.

What I meant about that what that he's a ball playing centre half and under Jose, that will be knocked out of him and in international football I beieve it's important you have more that just defenders that can defend, they should have a positive impact in possession, instead of passing it sideways.

The way City play is more expansive with would suit Stones game better.

Thanks for the info trix. We needed it after the dry weekend :hungover:

Not going to get carried away with these links but if you had of told me that these players were going to be our guys this summer I would have been very satisfied.

I don't have the link But if you can find the prozone video with Damien commoli you will see what he can bring to the table and it would he worthy of the investment.

If we want McCarthy we need to hurry up, Chelsea have upped Stones bid to £26m and Kenwright would be lynched from a flagpole by Everton fans if he sells his 2 star players, Stones goes first then forget McCarthy, get it done Levy

Sad state of affairs when your 2 star players are one with potential - stone who I dont see as all that and the other a workhorse CM.

Hopefully we are targeting more energy and pace as the info point to. Build a team not a couple of super star individuals.

Aidy Ward would have seen him pushed down the list for a start.

Imagine the wages he'd have asked for for Berahino, Sterling went from around £30k to £200k apparently

Definitely think this is a case of goalposts moving in our favour.

If what is planned comes off we could end up with:

Kramer
Berahino

and then maybe Werner.

Together with Toby, Wimmer. Trippier, Alli

While shifting Capoue, Paulinho, Holtby, Stambouli, Kaboul, Friedel, Khumalo, Ceballos off the wage bill, as well as probably Lennon, Ade and Chiriches.

Starts looking like a pretty astute window.

Though that could be jumping the gun very slightly given the hypotheticals.
I will be a very happy man if this is our business.

Couple of bits. We are really pushing for the two in this week, and we/MP wants them in place ready for the Real game. Looks like Berahino has shot up the list now, and I'd go as far as saying this one is now likely. As for CM Kramer is still the optimum choice, but as has been said previously will be harder to do than JM. It has basically been explained to me that it is crunch time. If we don't receive the required encouragement regarding our primary candidates this week, we will move on quickly because MP wants everything settled ASAP.
Outs are dragging a little but still looking very likely. The issue is that for most of the players they are taking a step down, and as such want to make sure that every option is looked at first(can't really blame them). Interest in all of those we are looking to let go though. Ade is expected form both sides to happen, but as I have said before this is Ade and nothing is ever straight forward where he is concerned.

Thanks for that update.

Love ITK delivered like that - clear and unambiguous.

Kramer and Berahino at this stage of the window is a wet dream. Can't see us managing to get Kramer signed but massive props to Levy if he does. Berahino and McCarthy very good also.

Late move for Werner would make it one of our best ever windows IMO, especially considering the outs also.

Great ITK info dump this morning, needed a boost after getting a windscreen chip akin to a bullet hole on the way to work this morning, and a potential parking ticket to follow!
