This window is really starting to look like we're just jumping from target to target without knowing who we really want. One week its Vucinic, then back to Rossi, then over to Llorente, onto to KJH etc its all getting very worrying

If Vucinic goes to Juve then I can see us paying that extra to get Leandro now. I mean, if we have agreed a deal a week or so ago with Roma and it falls through now, well, we should maybe think about panicking? Unless he'd rather go Juventus? I can't help but feel with everything I've heard/read that Vucinic should be a Tottenham player by now?

Although, if they sign Vucinic, why can't we go for Rossi?

Make that statement of intent, push the extra mile on the wages and the fee if needs be?

Get the balance right between stretching a bit more financially while also keeping us on a good financial footing.

I would have hoped we'd have courted the players we liked, to make sure we weren't wasting our time negotiating with their clubs.

Maybe we have done that, and things have changed on the player/club side.

But we don't seem to have a clear plan of who we want, and how we can get them. It's all a bit last minute.

I think if history tells us something we will probably sign a striker this summer. The quality of said striker however is up for debate!! The longer things go on the more I fear a knee jerk appointment

Its almost as if we dont really know who they want, but they know they need to get someone just to please the fans.

I see this being just like january last year. DL will suddenly realise he has 2days left and will start throwing 30million at random players.

As much as i hate to say it getting rid of the director of football role was probably a bad move.

The only other thing i can think of as to why its taking so long to sort out the strikers we really need is that maybe DL and Harry were waiting to see how our current strikers performed in SA, to see if maybe last year was just a blip?

At this rate our strike force next season should be Pav, Kane and Soulymane....i would prefer the last two over JD and Crouch.

Yes, and I made a promise to StartingPrice that I wouldn't be down until the 1st September. And I wion't, but it is very typical Spurs again and I would not be surprised for the squad to remain as it is and Redknapp come out and say those classic words..."It's hard to improve on the quality we have."

Erm...
