Let's stop blaming 'Arry, Danny boy and whoever else for the fact that we didn't sign a striker on the first day that the window opened...and that we still haven't signed one yet.
For all the ITK that we get (and as much as we all love it!), we've got no way of knowing what's really going on with Spurs, or in the minds of the players and power that be.
Relax - it is what it is...and there's bugger all that us lot moaning on the interweb will change.

Well I'd heard that the Wickham deal was dependent on how we thought Kane was doing. As we didn't sign Wickham, does that mean we think Kane can join the first team at some point in the next couple of seasons?

revise the transfer window. Close it on 31 July. Before all major domestic seasons start. That way clubs know exactly what they have to work with for the season ahead. None of this crap losing players 3 or 4 games into the season.
signings done early, 2 or 3 weeks of preseason under your belt and ready for the new season.
The transfer window suits those with money, who can afford to pay whatever to tget their men. For everyone else, its about the last week of August really.

Christ, if we don't get any replcements in then we really should throw the younguns in at the deep end, they will be hungry and desperate to prove a point and they certainly aren't going to do any worse than Crouch and co!!

Please don't think that I feel he is deadwood. I like Palacios. But due to the fact that he has been flogged around a bit and doesn't have a significant role in the team right now, I referred to him this way. I also think Kranjcar is a good player but has lost favor. My usage of that terminology isn't an indication of the players' talents. Its more in line with the term as it has been often used towards periphery players.

If it's still unguessed, then I'd say it's an anagram of a word meaning "to teach" and the name of a language. I'll give it some thought.
