Morning all, It's my 40th today and I'm hoping Spurs gives me the best present yet!
................................................................just get the business done please......see I don't ask for much!

Haha got to say whoever rated this "old" is cruel, but funny. :D

Happy birthday man, I think your present from Daniel Levy may be a few days late this year but you're probably used to that by now!

Hugo Lloris – never in doubt, should be first through the door; there were only 2 clubs ever interested in him from day one. The other being AC Milan. The player did not want to go to Italy and Arsenal never made contact with his club. This info didn’t come from Tottenham source.
Like I said yesterday talking to lots of players and lots of things that complicate certain deals.
Moutinho is still number one choice and I expect a final day take it or leave it offer. This will delay other potential deals.
There are 5 clubs talking to Dembele. Three in England (including Spurs), one in France and one in Italy. Timing is the key because Martin Jol will not sell unless it’s sorted out soon.
M’Vila; simple battle of the North London clubs. Tottenham have offered more money. Two months ago if you’d have asked me I’d have said he is nailed on to be an Arsenal player. Again it will all depend on timing but now personal opinion is you have got it.
Willian; I could have and should have told you yesterday Levy’s opening offer but to be fair it was actually slightly lower than what I was told. Completely miles out on valuation and can tell you how baffled, annoyed and surprised the Shaktar board were. The player is in England but that means nothing. Talks on going but just got a feeling that this is the sort of deal where another club could come in quick and hijack the player.
Afellay; I can tell you Harry wanted him. I’ve not heard of any discussions this time round. But if it’s a loan deal like discussed last time it could be done quick.
Bojan; deal very complicated and I don’t know where he ranks but Tottenham made what can be described as polite enquiries last week.
To reiterate what I’ve said before Tottenham have been asked to be informed of any bids for Redmond. AVB is a fan.
I’m also led to believe that Tottenham are in talks with Benfica. The problem is I genuinely don’t know who about.
There are lots of clubs interested in your players including one club I know personally; I’come back later to tell what I know.

Benfica - Axel Witsel?

If it's just Dembele in that position I will be extremely disappointed.

I would consider a fantastic last week to be:

Lloris
Moutinho
M'Vila
Willian

Would consider a good window to be:

Lloris
1 of the midfielders above
Willian

Do you not think we also need a striker? If Ade picks up an injury we are fucked.

I do and this is the left-field signing I am expecting.

It could be someone we have never been linked with.

I would personally hope for Llorente - his transfer is still up in the air.

Sad to see LD seemingly off the radar, that's the one I wanted to see, along with Moutinho. Looks like I'm going to be disappointed, although there is still time for something from left field. Glad to see a bit more positive ITK about Lloris, Brad's ok but not going to be able to go on forever.

JJ said striker come midfielder will sign. I'm still wondering where Hulk will go, because I don't think chelsea will be in for him, and I don't think he'll go to Zenit, hoping his club gives our Daniel a call and says, remember that price we quoted? Yeah half that.

Interesting from the Journalist and in fairness, he has championed the cause of Lloris as loudly as Aqkayid.

Player from Benfica eh? Would love Gaitan! (y)

Didn't JJ hint that LD could be a goer at the end of the Brazilian season?

The Journalist has some good connections outside of us (which is good as his Spurs ITK isn't always brilliant), but he is very dependable when it comes to Villa and Birmingham clubs in general. Let's hope he is as dependable when it comes Lyon and Rennes. As Lloris and M'Vila would be two great signings!

I think he did but we would still need a backup striker for now

We would, but if the long term plan is still to sign him, then it will limit how much we have available for another striker now. It could be why we are thinking about signing a midfielder/forward rather than an out an out striker.
