Agreed, and it's the first time i've noticed the post written as if by a non-Spurs poster.. is the Journalist a neutral or a fan of any club in particular?
He's not a Spurs fan I don't think, IIRC he has links with Villa although i'm not sure if he supports them even. He might even be a footballing eunuch and not support anyone.

Always been neutral. I believe he is close to villa although I don't know whether that's professionally or not. Villa will be the club he is referring to in his post.

Indeed, and it's just as well there is a TV screen between you and Jim White as he spews 6 months worth of repressed climax at midnight.
It's the site of Chipmunk chops Swanson, sat there with 15 mobile phones as if he's a hive of information when in reality they've been donated by the camera crews, sitting there spouting cliche after cliche that gets on my tits.

Villa I think, he certainly said he has strong links there.

Levy and co. should go on the Porto/Benfica forums and buy up whoever their itk are linking them with, save us a huge amounts.
Just went on to the porto forums, Google Translate isn't very good but I managed to read that they are scared that Hulk and Moutinho are going, to quote their user Kerouac: "the possible departure of moutinho unnerves me as shit."

I wonder who of our lads Villa are in for? Jenas again maybe?

I live in the midlands, and I've heard a lot of talk about Villa's interest in Defoe. Would tie in with the Journalist's info, as he is Midlands based too.

Regarding Journalist's post, and along with the quotes from Lyon's chairman last night, I'm fully expecting Lloris to be done today, maybe tomorrow latest. The quotes I saw seemed to indicate it was now in Lloris's hands, which would suggest a fee had been agreed in principle. £12m, not bad. I'm expecting a similar sort of fee for M'vila, and I would be pleased to see this happen.
Yesterday one of the ITK's suggested we would be spending something like £60m. Lloris and M'vila have been quoted in the press around the 15m Euros mark, so, around £24m for the two, still a chunk of the Modric cash left for a forward.
Dembele is gathering pace now, JJ alluded we had changed stance yesterday, and Journalist confirms this today, £15m buyout clause, but potential to include the likes of Jenas or Bentley to offset cash payout, would Jol be interested... JJ and Journalist suggest maybe if it is done early enough.
I can't see us stumping up for Moutinho to be honest, and also I can't see the Porto chairman bowing to a last day 'take it or leave it offer', especially if we haven't managed to sign someone else. He'll feel we are desperate and drive a hard bargain. I think last day 'take it or leave it' offers only work if the club actually wants/needs to sell, but has been hanging out for more cash. Same goes for Willian really, especially if we are as far away from their price as has been mentioned. My mates father in law rates Willina highly having seen him play, and since he's made it clear he wants to leave, maybe there is room to move.
For this reason, I can see us buying both Dembele and M'Vila, maybe Dembele first to appease Jol if Journalist is right about timing, then M'vila nearer the close if we have been unable to haggle Shaktar down, not the same type of player I know, but playing M'vila deeper and Dembele further forward instead.
Because of this, plus previous rumours, and JJ's post, I think VDV may be sacrificed if a big enough offer comes in. Hold a central six to cover the three midfield berths of Parker, Sandro, M'Vila and Livermore for the deeper roles, and Dembele and Sigurdsson more advanced.
The cash from VDV can then be used to secure another striker, because we definitely need another one, and I saw it mentioned earlier, and I can half see it now, a last minute bid for Dempsey if we haven't got anyone else. In this instance, later the better, as he has refused to play, Fulham may be more approachable. Good physical presence for the lone role, good scoring record last year though with no sell on fee likely, it would have to be a low bid, very unlike Levy but a short term fix?? Aubemeyang is the other mentioned lately, as a younger cheaper version of Remy. I had hopes for Niang as backup, but in the last few days I've seen press reports saying he has signed for Everton, AC Milan, and Inter.....so still possible we could get him then???
Defoe, Dawson have interest, I'd guess at maybe Gomes, Jenas and one or even both of Bentley and Dos Santos available too for the right money, latter two especially if we do secure Willian. There is a fair chunk of cash in those listed, which would go some way to covering targets fees.

If and it's a big if, we are signing Damaio in January then Owen would make a decent squad member until then. The guy still scores goals and doesn't expect to be first choice, he could certainly teach Defoe a thing or two.

Interesting from the Journalist and in fairness, he has championed the cause of Lloris as loudly as Aqkayid.

Player from Benfica eh? Would love Gaitan! (y)

In fairness, he was the first one to mention Lloris...he's getting the credit as far as I'm concerned on that one ;)

The latest JJ stuff is unbelievable. "Maybe."maybe." "everything I said wouldn't happen in the past now actually might although Damiao won't."

Bloke's having a laugh. :)

Jesus: Remember what I said above good stuff heaven, bad stuff hell?

Disciples: Yeah?!

Jesus: Well, that's not exactly true any more. But it might be in future. Be patient. It's God time!

Moutinho is still number one choice and I expect a final day take it or leave it offer. This will delay other potential deals.
There are 5 clubs talking to Dembele. Three in England (including Spurs), one in France and one in Italy. Timing is the key because Martin Jol will not sell unless it’s sorted out soon.
A final day offer is too late, porto would not have time to look for a replacement.
