Arsenal can offer Welbeck a realistic chance of playing as centre forward. It's only a loan deal and they're woefully strong of options. Reportedly, he's very keen to leave UTD for a club who'd play him as striker.

We'd likely view him as LWF.

CL footie, end of.

ITK linking us to an unnamed Argentinian......

thats about it,,,, and i guess since we are rumored to be looking for a forward, i guess people are just putting 1 and 1 together.

Its almost as bad as the RM thing this week, In no part does the information he was given actually say we are signing another argentinian. Its more likely he was talking about Fazio coming in. Doesn't really warrant the RO thread.

CL footie, end of.

I think just playing is more important to him at this stage. It's a loan move. Why would he move from one bench to another? CL football is pretty meaningless if all you're doing is watching it from the bench.

That said, as I posted earlier, I think he's got more chance of playing for Arsenal (in his favoured position) than for us. They lack options up front. Whereas we've got Ade, Soldado and Kane (why limit his development to aid Welbeck - if on loan). At Spurs, he'd be nothing more than stop gap for J-Rodriguez in the LWF role, IMO.

Musacchio is the one Argentine we've been most strongly linked with. It would make sense to get another quality centre back especially if we can offload Chiriches. I would not be surprised to see us sell of Kaboul either as I can't see Daniel Levy letting him run out his contract.

The term "invasion" suggests it could be more than one. Unless they consider Fazio and one other an invasion. I guess it depends how loose the term is. Anyway queue many Argentine names to be thrown around for the rest of the day. I bet the mods love these kind of vague ITK snippets that come out.

Trix already said NOT Fazio. Posted a couple of pages back IIRC.

Why not higuain? Napoli missed the CL money pot and could possibly want the cash..

That'd rub salt in Arsenal's wounds doubly. They thought they signed him when he signed for Napoli, booing him at the Emirates Cup, and now need a striker. And he's a great striker.

That's overplayed. I'm sure it's because with Arsenal he can find one of the few quiet spots in London in which to reflect.

True, you never hear any player wanting to play for a club in the CL. On the other hand palyers are lining up to play Thursday night football in the famed EL.

This new Argentinian has Franco di Santo written all over it. Cheap, would suit a high press, striker...

We will know soon i guess.....

not sure if we will make any more signings this window. maybe a few out on loans. but u will never know i guess.

kinda think the ITK from Trix is referring to someone who hasn't yet been named or we haven't been really close to, till recently.

only time will tell i guess.
