It's definitely a case of stick unless we can upgrade...looking like we can move on some and then upgrade our first 11 though which is the icing on top! Can't wait to see the next few days unfold

I think it would be ludicrous if we got ride of Soldado and I am surprised he has not played more, considering that he was one of the better players during pre-season, scored a cracking goal against Limassol and clearly linked up well with the likes of Eriksen, Lamela and Ceballos.

I think he will stay and have a great season for us.

I personally think, so of the players who have been playing, are playing in a shop window.

trix: Was told again yesterday (before my update post), it was MS or no one for the CM spot. It is not seen as a necessity just that Poch really wants MS.

so no song etc i guess

Despite the manager quite clearly stating that RS is not going anywhere?

I think it would be more likely that it is a Wingéd Forward (and not one at Bobby's expense).
Just out of curiosity, was the accent there on purpose?

I can see us getting Schneiderlin. I think it was all a bit of saving face for the Southampton board & manager. MS hasn't played very well in the 2 games and I doubt as a manager, Koeman wants an unhappy, unmotivated player in his ranks. Its in their interest to sell!

Also Im glad to hear the Poch won't sign any old player, he knows who he wants and wants that player only!

This makes sense. We have a good set of midfielders, so unless we can definitely find a better one, why deal.

And I only say that MS is definite as he has proven himself at the Prem level and in a Poch system.

Storts said this on COYS re Welbeck

Yeah, our interest is definitely real, would have to trust them if it came off.

*them is referring to Poch and whoever else chose Welbeck as an option

Young Dutch phenom Peter Rametamper is available, from what I hear.

Ah yes, the chap who plays up front with P I Staker. Got you.

On a serious note there's so much ITK about Morgan that there's got to be a bid. Let's hope it's now and not at 11pm Monday when the sky sports chopper is following Morgan as he does 105mph up the M3 to try and get to the lane to sign before midnight. Probably only to find that Peter odemwingie has nicked the last spot in the car park.

When you put it like that, he seems like a good squad player.

But I do dispute the technically good bit. I don't see it particularly, flashes perhaps, but not consistently.

I think his passing, vision, decision making, dribbling all leaves a bit to be desired personally. Certainly in no way see him as an upgrade on Chadli.

Anyway, if the ITK is correct then he would be a decent squad player who can cover different positions. Certainly a hard-working team player and does offer more of a goal threat than Lennon while also probably being very willing to play hard press game.

agreed with all of this and the way spurs play now we don't really have wingers but as you say wing forwards and it's their job to get in the box as well as create. Welbeck would be perfect for spurs.

For me wellbeck is or should I say could be a good buy. Look at the qpr game and how our positional rotation benefitted chadli. I personally feel wellbeck is faster, works harder, is better in the air and a better finisher than chadli (who I rate btw). Oh and is soldado leaves wellbeck can fill in for ade or kane
