There must be more to this than we know about. DL not one to accept this kind of shit. He's already hit chelsea hard when they came in for Arnesen, and also in the past threatened both utd and liverpool over tapping up. Supposedly he called Chelsea last week and told them to leave it over LM. Doesn't make sense.. what's DL got up his sleeve - any ITK??

Well be fair to them they must be a bit confused, our chairman says not for sale at any price but our manager says we'd be better off with 3 or 4 players in and modric out, so you can't blame them for trying to figure out which 3 or 4 'arry might fancy.

What I have said throughout is that one of the most conspicuous elements of all of these mooted cash + player deals is that not one of them has included McEachran, who would be the most obvious one to offer us. £35 M + and a young and developing play-maker in exchange for the finished product. Now if Chelsea and Modric had gone about things the right way, I would consider that to be a fair deal...

If we go right back to the first Chelsea bid of £22m and DL's public response to it of which he is being held to keep his word, he said no amount of money will see Modric being sold to any club and specifically not Chelsea.

Blink time is upon us. I'm still hopeful of us bringing players in but we have to shift some out - I assume Parker is seen as a Palacios out deal in the same way Ade is a Keane out deal. So Diarra for Jenas? Leandro for Pav? Cahill/Samba/Tasci for Bassong?

But that still leaves us over the odds squad wise doesn't it? can we get Bentley, Hutton & GDS out in time? And is that enough for the squad to be a mean lean 25?

I had some ITK from my source earlyier two bids for pav have been accepted one was deffo from russia and the other one he didnt know where from..... around 10mil mark he was told....... Parker deal is still on and talks on going and the problems that came up from yesterday is at our end is to do with contract length and bonus payments and not main wage he was told.... and Also he was told we are trying to get 2 to 3 more players in before window shuts.... Wilson is on way to stoke and Gio is off to spain.... and jenas may be off to either NUFC or maybe QPR both have made enquirys.... and hutton may go out on loan..... and he was told we mite try to use bassong in exchange for another player....
My source told me we 100% send scouts out on future first team targets this weekend and we looked at 2 diff young english keepers and 1 young english CB. He said we mite not bid this window for these thou and mite wait till january.

Can't see it. Nothing personal/critical of your information - I just can't see us doing any substantial business this late in the window.

Maybe Palacios out and a mediocre Redknapp signing (Parker, Bellamy or Cole) in and that'll be it.

We are currently at 28 players. The last questionalble one was Alnwick, who is not listed on the first team any longer on the OS. We have 3 U21's with numbers in Townsend, Rose and Walker. We have one that will turn 22 in November and will thus count on the roster in Livermore.

So we have to get rid of 3. 4 to buy 1, 5 to buy 2, etc.

We are not at the stage where somebody replaces someone else. We have to trim and the more we buy, the more we need to trim.
