Sorry if posted. I would like this better than Fab.

tweetmeme_source = 'MirrorFootball';
Harry Redknapp has made a sensational bid to land Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
Mirror Sport understands talks have taken place at the highest level with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy prepared to sanction a loan deal and payment of nearly half the 26-year-old’s £170,000-a-week salary.
Adebayor fears that once £26million striker Mario Balotelli is fit the Italy striker will play ahead of him.
The outspoken former Arsenal marksman has already made it clear that he will leave Eastlands if he is not a regular in the first team this season.
City keeper Shay Given is already thought to be close to a move to Fulham today after being placed in a similar position by the elevation of Joe Hart to first-choice keeper.
Adebayor is unhappy at having played in only three of City’s five games so far.
Although he started the club’s Europa League play-off game away to FC Poli, he came on for just eight minutes of City’s opening Premier League game against Spurs.
He was also a substitute for City’s defeat at Sunderland on Sunday, coming on in the final 15 minutes.
Adebayor, who wants to stay in the Premier League, hit a respectable 14 goals in 28 appearances for City last season - even though the campaign was marred by suspension and the terrorist shootings at the Africa Cup of Nations.
It is understood the Togo striker would have no compunction about playing for Spurs - despite spending three years at the club’s rivals Arsenal - as long as he is able to gain regular first-team football.
Spurs boss Redknapp has already shown, with his signing of defender William Gallas, that he has no problem bringing in players across the north London divide.
Redknapp has been linked with moves for Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano, Villareal forward Giuseppi Rossi and AC Milan hitman Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
But he is a massive fan of Adebayor and Spurs have been pushing City hard for a deal.

Pathetic, that's about as polite as I can be about the Mirror's sports reporting.

Oh, and as for the ITK, I haven't read the past 40 odd pages because I've been out with a friend, but let me guess....

"Bitch bitch bitch, Ronaldinho is past it, Ronaldinho only likes the nightlife, Gomez is shit, he's a poor mans Pavlyuchenko, Forlan is too old to spend any amount of money on, unless we get him for two donkeys and a guava, Radamel Falcao would be amazing, he's got everything we need, no he doesn't, he's shit, he is only proven in Portugal, you wouldn't want him if he was called Roddy Faulkner, yes I want Suarez he's amazing, but he's only proven in Holland, though he did score goals at the World Cup, but players who score at the World Cup are shit, we should sign Zamora because he's never gone to the World Cup, and besides, Suarez is a cheating ****, I don't want Muntari, he's useless, I don't want Parker, he's no different to every signing we made 1995 - 2003, but Mourinho likes Muntari, Bayern in for Muntari, Ashley Young is one dimensional, but he's only been out assisted by Fabregas and Lampard in the last 3 years, he's got no footballing brain, Keane out, Keane in, Keane is a legend, Keane only points and shouts and masturbates, he's better than Defoe though, we need better than Palacios, Dawson, Ekotto, Crouch, Huddlestone, Redknapp, Levy, Darren Eales and Chirpy!"

Is that about right?

You've missed the bit about Levy showing no ambition and that we will never get to the champions league again.... oh and he's ruined the summer apparently.

I haven't read it all but that's the gist of what I'm getting

If Citeh wouldn't sell Bellamy to us I very much doubt if they'll let Adebayor come. Dream on.......................

I asked you in my first line .. what you thought of Harry's targets being from city and sevilla .. i think its nieve tbh and the length of the deal thats gone nowhere could have been avoided, you'd think Levy would have more nouse after Arshavin, thats my point fellah!

Sorry that must have got lost along the way.

Harry's targets are Harry's targets. The board back the manager. You think it's naive, but you don't really know what's gone on there do you. I mean, do you? Really?

It's all very well playing the role as Captain Hindsight, but I reckon if we knew who Harry's targets were (i.e. the City boys and Fabiano) and Levy went "haha - no way" then there would be absolutely outcry from the fans saying that Levy and Harry have fallen out, the board doesn't back the manager etc. etc.

So it's a lose-lose, really. If he tries and fails then everyone thinks they could do better, if he doesn't try and obviously fails then everyone they thinks they could do better too.

So ultimately, we're sat here thinking "we could do better than that", these multi-millionaire, commercially sound businessmen have no idea about the industry they've worked a good percentage of their lives in and "they're naive".

Naive? Really? How patronising is that! Hehe. Good chat fella, and obviously no offence meant in your direction re: the FM stuff, but it just kind of illustrates our relative knowledge sets. Ours is very much computer game knowledge in the face of football club chairmen and managers.

Yes we can have opinions, of course. But, I always think it's a bit rich thinking football fans can do a better job running a football club than those in the box seat.

How do you feel about the fact Harry has said to Levy, i want 3 from man city and one from sevilla and when Levy has stopped laughing his ass off he's said ok i'll see what i can do?

I mean, if i know those two clubs hate us and would make any dealings virtually impossible i would have thought Levy might have had and incline and some kind of a back up plan.

The fact remains that we were bidding on Fabiano, so it follows that we have identified the front line as a matter of priority for a quality signing. with that in mind dont you think we'd have has a price to go to and a second option (of similar quality) ready if they turned us down.

One of the mods said that the first trickle of info re Fab was on the board in may, i mean if this is true that means levy has planned to deal for Fab since the window opened. I just think it is gobsmacking that this is something Levy would let himself get involved in, I would have thought, especially after Arshavin, Levy would have offered our top bid right away and if they turned down he'd move on straight away.

Dont get me wrong, i am a fan of Levy and i am happy he backed out rather than paying 20m for Fab, but the rest of the deal like the time spent and leaving it till 24hr before the window shuts is all just a little dissapointing to some people.

I hear you, but what if Harry wanted Levy to continue trying to sign Fabiano until yesterday when it became apparent that Fab was about to sign a new contract. Harry wanted the Man City players until last week when we gave up on them. Just trying to defend Levy because i think he has done a lot for Spurs.

Yesterday it was Fabiano and Diarra, then it was Huntelaar and Parker, then it was Muntari and Pienaar... now it's Adebayor and Ronaldinho?

I love silly season :-D

We need a LM and a striker.

LM - N'Zogbia, Pienaar, Young
ST - Falcao, Adebayor, Gomez

If we get one from each category I'll be thrilled.

Oh, and in response to my own rant, Ronaldinho would be fucking immense. Even disinterested and unwilling to take people on anymore, the few times I saw him last season he was immense, outpassing every player on the pitch and with the same unbelievable touch he always had. I don't know if Barnesy can be trusted or not, but I do know that if we're in for Ronnie, and DL is seriously trying to pull it off, then he's a player I certainly hope we can get. I reckon Harry would keep the fire in him, and the guy, apart from having more ability in his arsecrack than our entire squad put together, is a proven winner both on a personal and on a team level.

As for Gomez, I've seen him, at various times, display everything I'd want from a number 9. If we could get him, and get him to show all those qualities at the same time, he'd be fucking amazing. And the Adeabayor link, well I reckon it's impossible because Citeh hate us, but he is a superb centre forward who would dramatically improve us.

Having said all that, if in 18 hours time we have nothing to show for ourselves, or players I don't particularly fancy (Parker, C.Cole, Richards, for instance) then c'est la vie, I won't be thrilled but I wasn't thrilled by either Crouch or Bassong last summer and I'm pretty sure they both made undeniable contributions to our most successful ever Premier League season.

Forlan, Suarez and Falcao, Gomez: Forget about it, to little to late. Perhaps if we told Seville to piss off earlier we'd have time to pull a deal off. Don't want Gomez anyway, not sure what Falcao is like.
Ronaldinho on loan: Forget about it!
Muntari: Realistic
Keane: It's stupid to loan or sell if we have no replacement.
Young: Forget about it, you won't get him on the cheap.
