Happy Bank Holiday ITKer's, bad news this weekend, when my mrs said she was leaving because of my obsession with The Monkees, I thought she was joking.

And then I saw her face.

Here's your round up of the weekends ITK

I heard we had bid £3m for Thibaut Courtois of Genk, who want double that. He's 19 and pretty good so Archie's bang on about us chasing a new young keeper.
Further to my Lennon tip. He does not want to join Villa. Liverpool is his destination of choice.

In the newspapers this morning the Daily Mirror reveals that:

Barcelona are set to beat Tottenham to the signing of former Manchester United reserve Giuseppe Rossi in a staggering £40m deal from Villarreal.

The Mirror also tell us that:

Frank Lampard to surprise girlfriend Christine Bleakley by proposing next week

Well it's not going to be such a fucking surprise now, is it?

And finally Reports have emerged that Barcelona fans sneaked into Old Trafford last night.

They unfurled a '19 times' banner in reference to the amount of times Man United touched the ball in the champions league final.

On a serious note, I'm not sure ITK info is good for me. It's early stages still, the season only just finished, and I'm used to a Tottenham-less weekend after the end to the season where we had months we played just 3 times. So I have a good stack of salt to throw over any info I read.

However what happens when I get bored and desperate for something Spurs related? That leads to constantly reading this section, and whilst most ITK info never comes to fruition, I find my pulse quickening whilst reading through Roger Morgan's info or Adiepf's latest snippets. I'm obviously not alone. The hysteria reaches ridiculous levels here, 200 page threads in one afternoon. Broken F5 buttons. Having to move over to the Matchday Chatroom so that the site doesn't collapse. Removing sigs.

It's silly season yes. But I don't think I could stomach another load of it all without any end product like the last two windows have been. I'd seriously worry about my health. I think we need a SC counsellor. Someone to provide advice on how to deal with new ITK info, how to take it (conventional fanny fuck, up the arse etc...).

I'm just really scared.

Sure it's going to be one of those windows where we have to sell a few before we can buy. Perhaps Lord Sugars next task on the Apprentice could be to see how much revenue could be raised for Keane, Jenas, Bentley et al.

I think we need a SC counsellor. Someone to provide advice on how to deal with new ITK info, how to take it (conventional fanny fuck, up the arse etc...).

I'm just really scared.

I covered the whole SC Counselling thing during the last window. If I can find it i'll repost it.

Basically, we cannot be held responsible for your mental health but Bill Oddie is running a self help group in which you get hypnotised and when you come out of the hypnotic state you have a new, almost Buddhist like calm about ITK. And a sore arse, but he says that's just an unfortunate side effect.

I think the window actually opens early June as it can be open for a maximum of 12 weeks. The 1st July thing is probably because most footballers contracts end on 30th June.

English transfer window opens the day after the end of the season according to the FA rules and regulations. Many other European countries don't open until July 1st. So in theory we could register the paperwork for a player from within England, but couldn't register the paperwork for a player who is in a country where the window is still closed.

The FA have confirmed that the International Transfer Window will open on 9 June for all clubs in the Premier League, Football League and Conference National.​

Meanwhile, domestic transfers remain unaffected and deals can be done as soon as a club's season is over following the completion of a club's last competitive game.​

So, if you firstly assume nothings changed and secondly assume that the info I pulled which says the Transfer Window is open a maximum of 12 weeks, this years opening date is the 8th June (ish).

So we could register players from England now. We couldn't register players from Italy, Germany, France, Spain or ... Scotland :lol: until July 1st as even though the international window is open in England, their national windows are not open.

Average of 5 ITK updates a day = 420 ITK updates.

Salt needed for 1 ITK update: 0.25kg

Salt needed for entire window: 120kg's

I had 30kg's and there's been 62 updates (worth 15.5kg's), so that leaves my stack for the window at 14.5kg's. So I need to buy 105.5kg's of salt, 89 replacement F5 buttons and a great big shed to put it all in.

Boy this window's gonna cost me.

You forgot to factor in the cups of coffee to stay awake with to monitor the signing (when they happen) x amount of days/weeks/months after the ITK comes out :wink:
