Sorry, I'm all out of humour right now, JJ just set off a nuclear bomb and you've not been helping much Ryan. Jokes are fine, but to make a joke whilst at the same time giving out ITK is a bit hamfisted. We now get the idea that Levy is deliberately trying to undermine his managers.

the anti-Levy bullshit is just too much. He's not a perfect owner, but the same people who bitch about him, cry about how City and Chelsea are ruining football.

If Porto refuse to lower the price, then AVB has to be smart enough to know that we can't afford him. If he's throwing toys out over his old club, who he knows are tough negotiators, not dropping to a price we can afford, then that's his bad. He should know his limitations.

So watching these ITK try to dress it up as Levy is Satan is a crock of shit. And watching those fans who are too ready to burn somebody new in effigy go crazy at their comments is pathetic.

not disputing that mate, and quite frankly wasnt to keen on some of the players Harry wanted, but DL certainly didnt loosen the purse strings for him thats for sure.......and the aguero, rossi etc ssn stunt was embarrasing last hours of TW, yet we are here again with a new manager, 1 month in still trying to do buisness, dont see other clubs having the same strategy as us!

So we can expect no deals anywhere tomorrow then?

to be fair if I was AVB and gave Levy a list of target and he came back with me saying not getting any of them but you can have Remy I'd be throwing my toys out the pram, manager has a right to pick the players that fits his system, wouldn't be surprised if he walked before long if this turns out to be true.

Okay then. I'll be manager. Give me Messi, Ronaldo, Casillas, Xavi, Iniesta, Ribery, Silva, Vidic, Alves, Falcao, Alba. Solved.

That's still $24 mil....why cant levy just do what the manager wants and get him the crucial piece of his puzzle? AVB already said a keeper isnt the first place he would strengthen and he seems to think that we're ok up top. I'll trust my manager, and If he thinks we need a replacement deep lying playmaker, i think our chairman should trust the guy with the coaching badges and the treble under his belt.

We can afford him we have 32m from Modric maybe a bit less. The fact is that AVB and Levy will have spoken about this before he signed. Also another thing - the theme I have noticed is that Levy may not be a man of his word - Modric last year 'gentlemans agreement', Lyon with the statement today and now AVB and Levy falling out.

All of this is conjecture, speculation and rumors but thats all I can go on. If we didnt respond to rumors or speculation then we wouldnt have this forum going on etc

Whilst AVB has a superior knowledge on footballing ability, Levy has a superior knowlege on the financial affairs of or club, which is ultimately the defining factor in any transfer. Providing VDV stays, I still think we have a very good squad, I`d love to have more quality and in particular another striker, but we are were we are...

Agreed. We're not manc or Chelski, we can't just give clubs/players whatever ridiculous money they ask for. I think we've had a good window so far, we've got decent money for a few of the fringe/squad players and brought in some quality for resealable fees as well. Yes i'd love a shiny new forward and creative cm, but not if it means doing a Leeds...
