Not a chance in hell.

To be seen to reward a player, even if it would protect the Club's interests, after a public attack would be the most laughable precedent ever set!
Not if the player made a public apology.

Not that I think he would sign a new contract. It's clear that he feels he's given enough to them.

Agree. That ship sailed as soon as he tweeted his anger. Thing is it would seem that MOST Saints fans are furious with the hierarchy rather than the players and MS. And rightly so, they are an utter shambles.

I really can't see a public apology coming though. I'd be amazed. He wants out of a sinking ship...how do they sell him ambition now? They can't.

The thing is Southampton have already set a precedent by saying unhappy, bad attitude players can leave, which was reiterated byKrueger yesterday.

If he now takes the position of "They are staying no matter what" if I was a Southampton fan I'd be saying that's great but fuck me couldn't you of taken that stance 6 players ago?

Okay.It was a remark made in jest, based on previous precedent.

Why the talk suggesting Holtby and Chiriches going?
Holtby is an ideal fit, got the engine and work rate for the high press, plus the technique to retain possession and execute an incisive pass.
Chiriches looked good last year I thought, maybe a few jittery games, but for a young centre back playing abroad for the first time, under unsettled management, I thought he did well. With suspect fitness of Kaboul, and Dawson's limitations, which two of the three would you rather see stay? Kaboul and Chiriches every day for me. We don't want to be signing yet more new players.
Added to what we've already done, Schneiderlin, Rodriguez and a LCB is ample, better squad balance without too much change. Having to source a RCB too is yet more disruption.

For what it's worth, I feel the ITK over the last day or so regarding MS and JR, tells me things are further along than the media would have us believe. I think they will be with us, but Southampton trying to put a positive spin on things.

Personally thought Chiriches looked an accident waiting to happen last year and nowhere near PL level yet and Eunice struggled to get back to anywhere near his level. If we were going to be changing CB's they would be the first out

I'd be happy to see both gone along with Rose and Naughton and bring in Richards as a RB and CB cover and one of Umtiti, Ogbonna, or Rojo all CB's who can play LB

Actually in truth I'd be sad to see Eunice leave because I thought he was becoming an excellent CB before injury, however now he does seem to be struggling to get back any where close to where he was

Sky sports announcing transfer request gone in from MS
from what I gather. This actually happened yesterday and it had already been refused by the time Freddy Krueger went on air.

Its more significant that he did not turn up for training I think

Any idea on whether apon transfer request the player has an agreement to be allowed to leave? Interesting stuff about the non training

At the end of the day, and when the dust settles, they'll not want to keep an unhappy player - particularly with what's happened and with a new manger being brought in. Why would you risk squad harmony?

If we get close to what they want we'll get him eventually.

From what I gather it was rejected however the feeling is he will be aloud to move. What a mess

Plus you can't force a player/person to fulfil their contractual obligations and Southampton can't afford for Morgan to spend months sat at home twiddling his fingers.
