If Harry isn't our manager then I'd like Ancelotti or Mourinho (I know)

Also, there's no quotes from Mata in that goal article, but I think if he's coming to North London then it isn't to Spurs, unless Arsenal don't put in a bid. But they will, wont they?

Hello people  What a ridiculous time to be awake on a sunday

Very hopeful of some outgoings this week, I was thinking about Bentley...why is he so hard to shift? I thought he did ok at Brum?

I would imagine he's on a fairly high wage with us which could be a stumbling block for other clubs.......that and the fact he's crap!

Quote from Pav in the Mail:

‘I feel comfortable here. But we have five strikers: myself, Crouch, Defoe, Keane and Van der Vaart. Someone will be sold or go on loan.’

A few need to be sold.

My gooner mate was saying last night to me that the one player he'd love to sign was Defoe. We'd hade a few jars at this point but, despite supporting Arsenal, he really knows his football and has a few connections (this isn't itk, by the way). He thinks Spurs would be foolish to sell Defoe and that he'd happily see Wenger spend £15million on him. Reckons he'd get 20+ league goals for them.

Me and him are giving it a few weeks, as you can imagine. He clearly has a drinking problem

SSN saying Kaka being offered to Chelsea to buy, Defoe may go out on loan, but it is SSN so take with more salt than you would with ITK.

Kaka to Chelsea? So, they've missed out on Pastore and 'you know who'?

Defoe on loan? If the other club pay his wages then ok

He was ok at Blackburn but has really went downhill since joining us. Still I would have thought there would have been a little interest, even from abroad. I feel if we could get 1 out it might set the ball rolling.

Funny old world. Friday I was talking to a mate at work and a guy who had come in to do some electrical testing [he's a Brit spotted in a park and given a pro contract in Miami, but had to quit when he got injured as their contracts dont cover injuries ormedical, so he had to quit and come back to the NHS], both die hard Gooners and they both said they would take Crouchy over Defoe any day.

They recon Harry doesnt know how to set up our team properly to get the most out of Crouchy, and that defoe doesnt have much else to his game except a shoot on sight policy using power instead of his brain.

Made me think, but I'd still keep Defoe over Crouch, even though I think they might be right

He was poor last season, and had a few run ins with McCleish also.

We'd be lucky to get 3m, bearing in mind nobody will want to pay his wages.

There's not a lot else we can get out of Crouch to be honest. Extremely average unfortunately.

Spending time in front of the comps waiting for a striker when we all know they will be revealed after deadline day..we are addicts..we know it so but we can't help it.

Increasingly it seems like just Diarra and Leandro this summer...no?

Everything suggests that we won't be signing Leandro this summer

He made his name at Blackburn, where they set up around him, but last season at Brum he started wee. Even got a few M.O.M. awards but they soon fell out with him cause of his attitude and work etic and dropped him to the bench. I can remember them even leaving him out of a squad when uninjured.

I think he illustrates how some players look brilliant at one team but dont travel well. For me he is a bigger waste than Rebrov, I say that admitting that I was well chuffed when he joined us.

I hope we can get 5m for him and free up a space in our squad for Townsend.

But there are a lot of "average" strikers out there, and their coaches get more out of them than we get out of Crouch. Odemwingie scored 15 and got 9 assists FFS. Kranjcar senior was right, 'Arry doesn't have the vision thing.

For those asking. Spurs offer for Mata was good for VCF but player not convinced. Mata would join Utd, Chel, AFC & Arsnl best placed at mo

Can someone translate Ben's ITK into English please? Is he saying that we need two strikers because one is getting sold? Or is he just saying no matter (pun not intended...) what we need two strikers?

I think that this and Spurvert's post show that there appear to be a lot of gooners trying to persuade their Spurs-supporting mates that we should not replace our strikers. I'm sure they have our best interests at heart!
