Not really bothered by this one anymore, feel we had our chance a few weeks ago and for whatever reason, we blew it. Been a very good window, so far. We have filled some glaring gaps, and we still have time for a couple of surprises.

I would agree with this. Also I feel that if he was "that player" that the club felt was the only one, I think we would have put a bit more into getting this done.

Two solid offers from other clubs than ourselves in for him now(both CL). Still really wants to join up with Poch but they have had no contact with us since last weekend. I think Jjetset is bang on as usual. Unless all the planets align and everyone we are happy to move out go, I'd say this one is gone.


This has come from MS side of things.

Hoping that Spurs win today and it inspires Levy to back Poch by bidding again for Schneiderlin. Offer 20m and he'll be ours I reckon.

By the sounds of all the ITK and statements from MS himself, it seems that the Saints shafted us on this. The £26m (approx.) price tag is probably too high for us in the real world.

He's also not worth £26m. Let some other desperate club pay the money, we have enough quality in that area of the pitch.

If he's the difference between 4th and 5th then he is worth £26m. I'd be tempted to take the risk.

You can't force a player to join a club he does not want to join. My memory is fucked to give you an example but loads of times bids are accepted for players and the player refuses to leave.

IMO you can only afford to build a team around a player that is highly unlikely to leave, a 1 club player. There aren't many of them, and MS isn't one.

Agree , he IS the missing link , exactly what we needed to move up a level . If I hear one more person go on about Sando /Dembele/ Paulinho /Bentaleb / BS in the same breath ........

Read it again. CL teams in for him and REPORTS they are willing to pay the money.

I don't expect ITK on other teams bids. I know JJ and Trix are good, but...

Whether he's worth what they're asking for him is beside the point. Lennon + Andros + Sandro gone = MS + a LWF on loan. We would be a much stronger team imo.

By the sounds of it if we don't come back in for him he'll probably go to another club tomorrow who have stupid money to further over inflate player values.... or its all a cunning ruse to get us talking to Southampton again.
