We don't seem to have rotated significantly less than the rest of the top six, do we? (And bear in mind Chelsea and United both used three keepers.) I agree about the strength in depth, though, and that Cole could be a canny signing.

How.many of those players played outside of the back 4 played regularly though? Defoe, Livermore, Lennon that's it really ...
no one getting 17 - 20 starts .....9 of the 1st 11 started 25 times or more... We just don't have the quality in the backups as other teams do... 1st 11 is up there with the best but not the squad...

forgot to mention this the other day:

we never agreed a fee with werder for marin. We were interested last summer but the only time we've spoken to them since was when both Werder and Marin's representatives (he has a couple, probably explaining his move to chelsea!) checked to see if we were interested in march time. Don't listen to his comments about 'choosing chelsea' over us, we never put in a bid sufficient to let him have the choice...

Its a travesty if that is correct. £7 mil for a versatile, technical attacking midfielder is peanuts nowadays in the market of over inflated wages/transfers. Bare in mind that downing and henderson both went for 20mil this deal shows value for money

I vote NO on the Joe Cole front, btw. We have enough of a veteran presence already. Enough to get senior discounted movie tickets for half the Lane. You had your shot last year Joe, but you went for the money. Back to France with you. I'd rather put the fee/wages towards acquiring Adebayor/Remy/Damiao/de Jong/Lloris or whoever needs a little more cash to convince them to come to North London.
