Toby is gone folks-La Liga, unless something ridiculous happens. Da Ligit is almost a nailed on. But again you should know I am not as brave as some. Forget Alfie Mowson. No way are we going to pay 30-40m for him. Something we are trying to do in Germany also. We have 2 positions with 2 players in mind. Watch that country. Eriksen wants to stay, but wants to be convinced in more ways than one :peeking: (watch all my wordings, and there is no puzzle with letters in there :snaphappy:

From previous ITK I'm assuming LB is one of them. Hope we're looking someone like Max.

Glad we're not spending £40m on Mawson. Would be a huge waste of money. What would be the point when we could just play Dier there who's twice as good.

I don't think we need De Ligt either but I think due to his age and potential that one is more understandable.

I wonder whether we will get Martial with EL football, rather than CL... highly doubtful
Lets hope that does not hurt our funds too much

I'll be so frustrated if we spend £70/80m on Bale when we could get SMS for the same price.
I'm not particularly excited by a potential Bale return; his time here is past. However, Herc's post said that we had first refusal at a pre-agreed fee. Bearing in mind it was Levy negotiating and the sale was before the recent transfer fee hyper-inflation, I would be surprised if the fee wasn't significantly south of 50 million.

Hands down I'd take Bale back. Easy choice.
Delighted about two CMs. It is one season too late, but there is some comfort in knowing new CMs might come in time for the new home stadium.
Martial would be wild.
I think Andre Gomes is interesting, and I think people underestimate him maybe. I would have bought him.

Am I the only one who doesn’t see Martial as that special?

He's started the season looking like he was going to explode but then fizzled out. Hard to tell if this is Mourinho or if he's flawed mentally.

Looking at Martial this season he represents a certain unpredictability. Looking at our attack this season, we are not unpredictable, and we have paid for that greatly. He is only 22, and he now even has PL experience. He needs coaching and guiding, he is young, and he isn't the finished product, but he has proven his skills. This is exactly the sort of player Mourinho does not like, and the sort of player Pochettino does like. Mourinho has already sold a player like Lukaku once in his career, and history repeats itself. Because selling Marital now is like selling Lukaku 4 years ago.

Gomes, maybe he would be decent rotation option for CM but only if we are bringing in another, better CM as a starter. Really tho, he's nowhere near good enough for us as a starter. He's slow, unfocused and not that good a dribbler.

Hopefully there won't be loads of waiting around this year. Poch explicitly said he wanted his signings in by the WC. Would make sense too as to not disrupt the players themselves.

I don't like the way Martial and other expensive signings seem to be prioritised over a CM. Good to hear we want two, but it does make me wonder how serious we actually are about strengthening in the middle.

It should be a case of getting one top CM in first, then a left back and possibly De Ligt if a deal is to be done. Then we should be 'creative' with the forward player imo.
I'm not sure Martial is prioritised over anyone but if he is more advanced and the deal is ready to close then you close it, what's the alternative?
Personally I am quite excited by the Martial ITK, especially as it comes from Hertyid who isn't given to jumping the gun and I'm pleased to see we are very much on the case with our Summer targets too.

Why do you doubt it? Because he won't want EL or because we won't pay for him if we only get EL?

Martial would be a good start. Always wanted him, think he would have offered something different in a game like today for example. The best bit about him is his ability to play across the top 3, we need another player who can chip in with goals and he'd certainly provide that as a WF or CF.

But please, get some winners!

If signing, or potentially singing Martial doesn't give you a raging boner at the thought, you haven't watched much of him. He's a very very good player. Possibly a little lazy at times in defensive duties but that's the only negative. Would be an exceptional signing. A shame we can't tempt Rashford away too.....!

There must have been a polar shift in the wages thinking.

Can not agree with that anymore!!!

Massive Winner post..... but we know how this story ends, we have been here enough, have we not?

I wonder if Levy offers us all a refund for our season tickets like Arse have just done if we get EL football, we all know the answer....most expensive football team to watch in Europe - makes me mad
I'm beginning to worry about you mate this season is taking a terrible toll on your nerves.

United fans would have Jose's head before Rashford even spoke to another club

It's not that simple though. The agents in many cases will be wanting to wait until after to try and maximise the financials.
