United fans would have Jose's head before Rashford even spoke to another club
My brother (United fan) thinks most United fans would be pretty annoyed if Martial left, especially if he came to us. Which makes me think we only get Martial if United get something in return. My brother says Martial is one of his favourite United players because he knows how talented he is and how much of a difference he can make.

It's not that simple though. The agents in many cases will be wanting to wait until after to try and maximise the financials.

Of course. Its a real balancing act. Any agent will hope their client has a storming world Cup and becomes the next El Hadj-Diouf.

Martial would be a good start. Always wanted him, think he would have offered something different in a game like today for example. The best bit about him is his ability to play across the top 3, we need another player who can chip in with goals and he'd certainly provide that as a WF or CF.

But please, get some winners!

What do you mean by " But please, get some winners"? United won three trophies last season. Isn't Martial a winner?

I keep seeing people mention signing winners, but we've already got a decent amount of title winners and cup winners. We've even got a world cup winner in the squad. We've got Hugo, Aurier, Jan, Toby, Eriksen, Moura, Dembele, Sanchez, Vic and Llorente. In fact it's mostly just the young players, or the British players that haven't won anything and how many British winners are available that we could buy?

Would love Martial. Huge player and Pochettino could hopefully do wonders for him and us. I would doubt that deal hugely though. Been a long time coming and just not overly confident on us attaining Pochettinos first choice signing. Not me being anti Levy as he has done wonders for us but just soo often we have been let down by other things or something else happens whilst making deals which happens everywhere but always to our first choice signings...

He is, you're right. I think I'm trying to get at players who may have that winning experience combined with a strong mentality, whom some of the younger players can learn from and can realise what is needed to get this team over the line.

I'm not sure if Martial is a 'winner' in the sense that he will never give up and even Mourinho has questioned him multiple times. He may be a player who's more of a winner in the sense he wins games that appear to be lost. I think back to Leicester's title win and wonder how much Cambiasso's presence the year before influenced them. Anyway, this isn't the thread for it, and I'll leave that one before it goes somewhere.

Since the summer wish list thread has been locked, don't know why mods do this but I still think we should go for zaha this summer. He really has stepped for palace this season. Bags of pace.

Depending on price of course.

I don't take much notice of his time at Utd because moyes isnt a good manager and didnt give him a fair crack.

I know it's annoying that the wish list thread has gone, but I wouldn't start posting players you want in here as it's against the rules and you could lose your access if you spam the thread. Try and find a decent media link saying we're after him and open up a new thread on him instead.

Can not agree with that anymore!!!

Massive Winner post..... but we know how this story ends, we have been here enough, have we not?

I wonder if Levy offers us all a refund for our season tickets like Arse have just done if we get EL football, we all know the answer....most expensive football team to watch in Europe - makes me mad
Get Sky, BT and a nice new armchair instead then. The football we have seen week in, week out for the last 3-4 years has been worth every penny of the £865 (WHL)/£995 (NWHL) I've been paying. Fuck shelling out to watch the dirge Mourinho serves up every week.

I will be delighted if we sign Martial, even though what happened with us before he went to United leaves a bad taste in the mouth (although he may have just been doing Monaco a favour like Sessegnon did Fulham last summer). I honestly thought that the way he started the season would see him bloom there. He has so many more positive attributes than Lukaku imo.

Toby is gone folks-La Liga, unless something ridiculous happens. Da Ligit is almost a nailed on. But again you should know I am not as brave as some. Forget Alfie Mowson. No way are we going to pay 30-40m for him. Something we are trying to do in Germany also. We have 2 positions with 2 players in mind. Watch that country. Eriksen wants to stay, but wants to be convinced in more ways than one :peeking: (watch all my wordings, and there is no puzzle with letters in there :snaphappy:
Is Eriksen waiting to see how much he has to pay for his season ticket? Is Bentaleb coming back? I don't get all these cryptic clues, so am just throwing out suggestions!?

Bale has a vital thing about him: he scores goals in crucial moments, to win games, to win trophies. This current team needs that.

i remember his last season with us, whenever he had the ball on the right and started to cut in, i would think "here we go, it's goal time"

and he'd do it so often.

Worst case scenario and we don’t qualify for CL, does that change our targets significantly? If not, then I’d suggest there never was going to be a statement signing for the new stadium.

Hercules may have said that but the man I really trust (no disrespect at all to Hercules as I love his updates) - JJ has also said it on his twitter feed
He was asked a few weeks back "is bale coming back" and his response was "now you are being silly"

I know it is twitter but it is @JJetset so hoping all is good.

Surely on that strength Stoke shouldnt of gone down? Didnt they have more CL winners in their squad then any other team in the PL at one point?

Could very well be an active window. I think you could make a case for 5 players that have contributed significant minutes could be gone this summer (Toby, Rose, Sissoko, Dembele and possibly Lamela).
Not to mention the players that haven’t and will possibly go the likes of Llorente , Jansen , GKN , CCV , Onomah
