Last thing I'll post on this subject as its the wrong thread. The leading scorer right now is probably Kamara, Giovinco or Villa. Last season was BWP, Keane or Dwyer i think. Altidore has scored some goals there though.

He might be doing ok again now, but was completely gash over here. Some players just can't play in certain leagues for whatever reason, but do well in others. As such I can't see a Prem club taking a punt on him again in a hurry.

He's probably England's 6th or 7th choice striker, no other club in the top 8 of the Premier or any other major league appears interested (this cannot be confirmed I accept) which speaks far louder than those stats you've churned out
The ITK said West Brom were waiting to see if United followed up on interest from early in the window before dealing with us so obviously other big clubs are having a look. I'm not sure who you think is ahead of him for England considering he definitely would have made the last squad if not for being with the U21's and then injury. I don't really understand your reasons for rating him so lowly to be honest :/

Yanited have just sold Di Maria and look very likely to be losing De Gea. They need a signal of intent signing imo and for a CL club the size of Yanited, that is not Berahino.

And I don't see yours for rating him so highly. I'd wager my left nut the LVG isn't playing a waiting game with him, if UTD want people they generally get them signed early. Why sell Wellbeck and sign Berahino?

Remember when everyone wanted Welbeck on here??

Sure, I agree with that. Just making the point that an ITK said (or at least I'm sure they did) that United had, had a look early in the window. Just showing that big teams have had a look at him (y)

I was using it has an example to show big clubs have had a look at him. Turning your nose up at a young, forward with pace who's had two double figure scoring seasons already just seems odd when looking at what we have currently.

Not just Berahino no, but Berahino and one or two others? Highly possible. Their 9 shirt is free...

I never turned my nose up at him, I just said I think 20m is mental money for him

Are you actually being serious? Loads of teams have shown an interest in him, he has scored a few goals against some of the bigger teams too. Also 5th or 6th choice for England? He only turned 22 in the last week or something.

I disagree.

Obviously, I don't think anyone would disagree based on him as a player. Based on talent he's in the 10-15m bracket. The way the market is means clubs can demand silly prices like that for their players though if they have no pressing need to sell.

Who is this? Berahino doesn't fit that description

Just run me through the evidence of 'loads of clubs' showing interest in him

Seriously have you lot been living under a rock during the appreciation of the transfer market? Ross McCormack is an £11M player championship to championship. Jordan henderson 3 years ago was £16m from Sunderland when he was shit. Benteke £32.5M.

Berahino for sub £20m is a snip. Particularly given his wages will be relatively low. Wages are the real money that leaves the football club, not transfer fees.

Fees on young players are investments in a constantly appreciating market. Unlikely to depreciate beyond genuine disasters, particularly with the English player premium.

Sorry, I didn't upload my extensive collection of other team's top secret scouting reports. Maybe google it?

I'm sure no one at all has been looking at a young English goalscorer at a lesser club as a potential investment. He fits right in our alleged transfer policy.
