Jacob's info isn't that surprising. We are always going to struggle to attract the biggest players with our wage structure and it's hard to see why players would dramatically reduce their wages to come to Spurs.
That said the wage structure is there for a reason and without a large stadium, and therefore without a huge weekly income, I imagine the structure will always be there.
It's why we need to continue signing the Berbatovs and the Modrics of this world whilst their stock is comparitively low and their wage expectations are sensible. Hopefully next season with the FFP rules wages will generally start to deflate but until then I think we'll need to accept that getting the sorts of players we've been looking at will be very tricky.
I expect all transfers are prioritised at number 1 and are progressed to a point where parties have to go away and discuss.
These are how negotiations for all sorts of deals work. They are not thrashed out in one 'session'.
I could swear we had iTK at the start of the summer saying the club was going to raise the wage level?

Diarra played for Portsmouth, I wouldn't call him a star of Real Madrid
calling diarra a star or real Madrid is like saying Rose is a star of spurs...it stretching things a bit..good player but not a star.
agreed with others, we don't need anymore midfield players, we require strikers and possible full back...that's it.
