Yep and he gave my post the other night on here a winner rating when I specifically mentioned McCarthy - having good defensive qualities and being able to move the ball forward well, good fit for Poch's system etc.
And he's Irish, and we Irish love our cabbage. A more simple explanation than all the extravagant guess work going on in here.

No because Alderweireld wasn't one of the cabbages so it doesn't need to relate to him. In fact I think the new hint makes it much less likely it's Suarez.
The hint just said that with Toby signing one of the cabbages is less likely, which probably means one of the cabbages was a defender I would assume.

I suppose we don't know the club's plans for Wimmer at this point - might be that they don't necessarily see him as going straight into the first team and needs a gradual process of development?
