I was thinking Higuain actually, MoPo's countryman and still a top quality player. Also, Breezer's incredulity of our chances of signing him would tally with Higuain given he cost €90million last year.

There's no way it would be Higuain, we're not signing a €90M player in Kane's position. Dybala on the other hand...

Juventus... Hmmm, Pjanic? Pjaca? Can't be Cuadrado as he's only just signed permanently. Dybala or Pjanic would be the dream, but both seem extremely unlikely. Rincon is a pretty handy utility player at RB and DM.

Juve player wow ok... I'm gonna guess somebody like Stefano Sturaro perhaps - young enough, very versatile, Italian international - a Juve squad player rather than a definite starter. Total guess mind you.

When some body says "household name" then I expect a "household name", what would you expect?? I hardly think Barkley is a "household name".

I agree, highly doubt we'd be able to sign him, however if Breezer's two bits of info are talking about the same player then Higuain is really the only player it could be. It would certainly be a show of intent from Levy if we went out and smashed our transfer record on someone like him, and with Dybala and Kean coming through looking for more playing time I could definitely see them letting one of Mandzukic or Higuain leave this summer for the right money.

All this recent itk has got the blood pumping again, but the info I want to see is that Toby Alaroundtheworlder has penciled a new contract. So much so that I'd almost risk a ban by directly asking our resident insiders.

Well a Brazilian news outlet reported that we were one of 3 English clubs to have offered Alves a deal, so I assume that the experienced South American is him. I'd imagine his wage demands and other peoples budgets mean we would be blown out of the water to be honest.

When you remove those that are too old or completely out of our league so we'd never approach them for the player there really isn't that many players left.
