This is my thinking too. The silence from the ITK's really is deafening. Something has to be going on. I'm just interested to see who it is/was we're after even if we fuck it up. It feels like a deep cover CIA operation at this point.

I really dont think anything else than Gomes is going on. 2 hours to go - Any possible deal should be out in media to have any chance

Llorente in a Spurs kit, nothing on Gomes, suspicious noises about our failure to sign Lucas. Will Miller.

Incomings

1. Lucas Moura Yesterday ITK reported that Lucas wasn't good enough for the squad per MP. Then at 8:30, SSN reported we tried and failed to sign Lucas Moura due to work permit issues but ITK has pointed that we could, potentially be doing a deal subject to work permit approval; further, Gards said "If we did want him it wouldn't be a WP issue"
2. Andre Gomes Confirmed by Rob as Jehovah. Would replace Barkley. Currently in advance talks of a potential year-long loan. Stoof: "'should' join... apparently obliged to buy for £40m should he play 60% of our games."
3. Fernando Llorente By all accounts looks promising for a £12m, 2 year deal. Picture in a kit surfaced in the player thread (Link) - points to a passed Bony medical. SSN expect an announcement within next hour.
   
4. Ross Barkley Deal off (for good) according to Alasdair Gold. This following reports from SSN that the club has told them they've dropped interest. Seems dead.
5. Riyad Mahrez Twitter squakings that we haven't completely ended talks, however most signs point towards us being out of the race entirely.
6. Jadon Sancho signed with Dortmund
7. Pacy Winger Confirmed by just about every reliable ITK as a real thing that's still happening. No names yet, apart from SSN's coverage of Lucas. As of 6pm, Gards was liking tweets about this signing being kept under wraps.

Outgoings

1. Vin Janssen WBA and Stoke both dropped interest, Swansea Bony medical ongoing - departure unlikely
   
2. Marcus Edwards - NOT going out on loan, Daily Mail LIES
3. Pants Mike London has gone out on an ITK limb to state Kirsty Gallacher is outrageously tidy.

Appreciate the advice fellas, but it's only a bit of fun. I am thankful to the ITK's for their information and fully appreciate the effort they undertake to give us their information all in return for nothing, even at possible detriment to their sensitive links.

Learned a long time ago a lot of people can't take a joke, couldn't give a shit about the spams/d'ohs.

ITKs are never that active on transfer deadline day as a lot of the info is one step away from the action and when we're super busy it's hard to get updates. Most of our ITKs have been keeping us informed all day but most of that information is along the lines of "no one's picking up their phones"

Like clockwork. No ITK pretty much all day then we get reports a couple hours before the window closing of leaving it too late. Can almost guarantee there will be ITK about how it was close etc. etc. after the deadline closes.

This is not me bashing any ITK or SC. I'm happy with the signings we have made this window and think we'll have a fine season again.

That said. I'm starting to get very skeptical about this happening every single window. Seems very strange that we follow the same pattern. We are linked with SO MANY PLAYERS that we never seem to be able to get over the line. Do other clubs have this many near misses with player that we don't know about?*

*Chelsea are the exception as they're a bunch of ****s.

Every club is the same.
Arsenal fans are having a rant about lamar.
City fans are having a rant about sanchez etc...

We all miss out. That's not even considering the moura rumour is bullshit made up by sky to keep people watching.
