Regarding Spence, last I heard Boro wanted around £25m whereas we valued and want to deal around £15-17.5m.

No, but we were never going to get things all our own way on every target we wanted this summer. Just hope we can get in quality players even if they aren’t necessarily our number one choice.

Your numbers sound top end mate, possibly including addons? Numbers I've heard are quite a bit lower. It was the sell on % that was initially causing the issue not so much the asking price.

Personally don’t think they are, it’s basic negotiations you start your asking price high knowing you’ll get knocked down to the fee you actually want.

Think we started those searches super wide and are now narrowing in on who we can actually get. We’re seeing where we can allocate funds and juggling in my opinion hence the messaging that we’re interested in 1,200 people.

As for Eriksen I expect if it's got closer for us its because he was asking for ludicrous money from United and have said no chance.

I hope it was just a case of chancing their arm because he didn't really want to go there, so wanted to be massively(and I mean massively) compensated for doing so.

Apparently Ten Hag has told United’s directors that Eriksen and De Jong are critical to his gameplan. So maybe Dragon’s earlier scepticism was over United making a strong play for him. Earlier ITK seemed to suggest he would sign for us before his holidays but he’s gone away to think about something. Let’s hope the 60/40 is suggesting their last ditch attempts have been in vein

I think it just depends on what’s available, they are obviously the 2 positions we are going to spend substantially on. So if we get a cheaper CB we might go bigger on the forward.
if we got Bastoni we might have to cut our cloth accordingly.

Whilst I appreciate any selling club can put whatever price they want on a player, I'm of the thinking that anything close to 25 million is way over the top.

May I also add, this is not knocking your much appreciated ITK @Hotspur88, but more about my opinion on player regarding output, risk and cost.

Not lucky enough to get the break downs etc mate, literally just told a figure so could quite easily be top end with add ons like you say.

How do you know? Things might be exactly where they need to be and in actual fact looking really promising...

What were you expecting? To complete all our signings in one go? Like a Xmas list and a visit to Argos?
