Surely the Griezmann deal is purely dependent on whether we agree to pay the £24million or not?

That and obviously fend off any interest such as Monaco but would like further clarification on why we are coming up against a 'brick wall'.

As for Konoplyanka - yea, I can see this being a right bitch to get over the line so I would hope we don't put all our eggs in one basket on this one.

Griezmann and Kono always been my top 2 for LWF! It's our number 1 priority position along with CB imo. (Well those are really our only priority positions)

It's not just the negotiations between the clubs that one has to consider.

Football deals get complexer from year to year. Everybody is involved and wants money/ rights/ more money.

Strange. JJ said we weren't after Konoplyanka.

I think there has been quite a bit of conflicting information from the ITKs' this summer.

Good to hear that things have progressed more than perhaps we thought and there's lots of irons in the fire. Could be a lot of movement over the next few weeks.

this could be another spectacular transfer window. as much as with the players le\aving as coming. my worry is that we bought too many last season and if we sign another 5-6 players this season we are in for another "bedding in" season. I hope I am wrong. any of those talked about will improve our squad.

Also that we want a LWF, CH and Schniderlin. That siggi is gone and we have bids on the table for 4 other players who may be sold if we get our targets.
Nothing on your man [Griezmann] than though.

on outs: Kaboom going nowhere, bids are for full backs and midfielders.

on cb's: Verts likely to sign new deal but won't hang around if we don't succeed. Kaboom has to prove fitness and Daws will be off, Chirices still unproven.

I was very impressed with Konoplyanka when we played them. He's quick, tricky and very combative. His close control on what was an awful pitch particularly impressive.

There must be something putting clubs off him because @ 12m, he's relatively low risk in today's market.

It can't be with their club as there is a clear break clause of 12m. His agents must be trying to get a large payment themselves to offset the "bargain" fee.

Massive agent problems if you believe the ITK from West Ham

must say things are hotting up quite nicely & it appears we all seem pretty happy with the players we're signing/ mentioned with BUT we are seem in the dark re the Centre Half if Daws is going. I for one want someone ready to play now & hit the ground running & not sign a youngster with abillity but not a lot of experiance (unless that youngster was John Stokes who we've been linked with)

Re: LWF - Interesting that we are being so shady on the winger front (JJ included). I'm taking the Griezmann bit as being unusual to him, and there fore possibly under-wraps (Afraid of hijack by Chelsea). Kono I imagine there's plenty of dodgy Russian stuff going on there with Agents and the Dnipro owner.

Griezmann would be my No.1 target but Kono could be like Jay Rodriguez on steroids for us if he was willing to work his nuts off (which I think is under question).

Re: Lascelles - This is a weird one for me as surely this kid would be 4th choice at best (Forest fans not exactly up in arms at the loss from what I can tell). What's especially weird is that concerns of a partner for Verts are raised later on, so you'd think we wanted a starting CB.
