Good morning ITK-lings, here's your round up of the weekends ITK and more to kick start your week. Actually, everything came yesterday as all the ITK's were out shopping at Bluewater on Saturday and had a secret meeting in Starbucks. Bluewater? This actually explains one half of POTL's cryptic!

The burning question doing the rounds in the footballing world right now is why did Ben Arfa drop the ucksake from his name?

And so on the the eyteekay, starting with Archie

Got a text 'You watching? Official bid will be going in'.
Fingers crossed.

And this morning the Daily Mirror reckon that Liverpool will be making a £10m bid for Defoe.

Scientists have discovered that if you masturbated frequently in your youth then you are more likely to develope tourette's syndrome...

Good price for Defoe alright. He isnt stating for us. Though its nice to have that explosive type striker on the bench who can come on midway through a game and make an impact. Can you imagine Adebayor doing the same? I cant.

But if we were bale to get £10m for Defoe, £5m for Giovani and anything from £5-£8m for Pavlyuchenko, then we should be able to significantly strengthen our forward line with the acquasition of two new forward men.

Have to say again, I am very disappointed in Defoe.

Can't see us getting Remy really just another one of these transfer links that rumble on and on and nothing happens. It's a little worrying that we are still hunting for a striker rather than putting in bids. Surely we must know wonder want by now.

can you explain this? He hardly starts, but has a decent goals tally this season for a man that rarely plays. In what way are you disapointed in him

Seeling Defoe is crazy in my opinion. If we do then we need to find 2 quality strikers...............its hard enough to get one it seems!

I would struggle with the idea of selling Defoe to liverpool. You can guarantee he'd score goals there and would improve them significantly. Don't strengthen the competition!

Selling Defoe would a huge mistake. By all means, if he wants to go in the summer, and we can get a good price, and we can get a replacement in before he goes, then fine, let him go.

If we sign a striker this window I'll be amazed.

In fact I'm so confident that we won't, I'll go to the Emirates on Arsenals next home game and pretend to be a statue, complete in full Arsenal kit, if we do.

When I say I am disappointed I dont mean in his performances this season. HE has been relatively good this season.

I mean in his attitude. He publically declares so much love for the club. I thought he was one of us. A proper Spurs. Yet he is willing to jump ship in a year in which we are challenging for titles. A year in which we are on the verge of our best season in years, all because he wants to improve his chances of making the England Squad for the Euros, in which he will, in all likelyhood, warm the bench at best for half a dozen games.
Severe lack of respect shown to the club that pays his wages and the fans that sing his name.

the only way we'd sell defoe is if we had a replacement lined up. aka leandro. or remy. and selling him for 10 mill, as dan said, would pay for just about half of leandro's fee. or remy's. would be a good move imo

It is not ideal to sell a proven striker mid season and replace him with someone who would take time to adapt.
